5b shoving TT is pretty standard HU play.... Against Phil though? I'm unfamiliar with his HU game so I cannot say, maybe he's a massive nit? I can say though, Tom Dwan was considered to be the greatest HU player at that point in time. So anyone calling his play terrible needs to seriously re-evaluate that opinion.

Tow Dwan does play well even if he loses, because he only needs to collect the dead money preflop for an amount of hands Phil plays similar, which covers the odds and where Dwan is up. Its easy to say its luck or bad luck, but if its played correctly depends on many factors of the hands history. Saying that this play is incorrect would mean that Phil would just play by a standard pattern against Dwan, which is not true. He just can't bear the game like always when he loses.

I've never understood Hellmuths 🧢 saying he'd never put more than 3k in there with T-T for a few reasons 1. It's a heads up match and 10's are an extremely strong hand heads up 2. Theyre even more strong considering its a heads up match against a player like Dwan who's range is gonna be wideeee and in there with almost any 2 3. He literally put more than 3k in before the shove and he would have absolutely played it the same with with 10s against a guy like Dwan lol... 10s are *almost* as strong as Aces in a spot like this *not literally but poker players will know what i mean by this*

I still don't understand these types of post-hand rants. Does Hellmuth want his opponent to get all their money in bad or not? I know Phil would like his opponents to get their money in completely dead each time, but that's simply not realistic. The next best thing is for the opponent to get their chips in bad every time and you should win the statistical numbers over the long haul. Those windfalls of constant cash should have you singing showtunes all day and night long. Instead, Phil is an anti-social psychopath who can't make a friend.

We all know Tom lucked out. Phil played aces bad. I mean aces arent an automatic all in pre flop. Thats why he lost. See flop then bet him out. Then this video wouldnt exist.

Against a random pro this would be fine but stacking off 133 big blinds preflop with 1010 vs a Phil Hellmuth limp raise? I'm not so sure.

Suck out is when you have nothing and catch something on the board anywhere, he had a made hand and luck was on his side. To say someone should lay down 10s to the chance someone has As come on now 😂

A lot of "nothing" suited connectors of clubs or hearts have more preflop equity against those aces then 1010 does.
