Aaaaactually ignore what I said about Rango at 5:15. I only saw it when I was younger and didn't really get it at the time, but in retrospect I can understand why it won. I knocked Surf's Up at 4:47 but that's probably not fair, the mockumentary approach was pretty fresh even if I didn't like the film as much as its competitors. Pretend I said Shark Tale orsomething there lmao. Also for the stuff @ 5:15, ParaNorman wasn't the only good one that got snubbed by Brave that year IMO. They're funny af for sure, but keep in mind that it's probably not all as brazenly ignorant as that. In general the whole Oscars affair has more factors going on with it than what we made out in this video. We were just taking the piss and we ended up simplifying the truth, so if you actually wanna learn about the AMPAS and the Oscars you might wanna look elsewhere haha.

As someone who was very close to a disabled person in high school, A Silent Voice hit really close to home for me. Getting an actual deaf actress to voice her was a risky but excellent decision. Major props to kyoani and the dub studio for their hard work. (Yes, I actually watched the video. KZbin should add some kind of sticker to comments to let people know they actually watched the entire video.)

I'm SO glad the Japanese dub of Boss Baby is finally getting attention. Because now I can finally point out that Megumi Han, Gon from HxH (2011) and Akko from Little Witch Academia, voices Young Tim. That's right. Now you know. Megumi Han is the Japanese voice of Young Tim, from Boss Baby. I've kept this information stored in my brain for like, a year now. And it has NEVER been relevant to ANYTHING in my day-to-day life. "Megumi Han did a voice for Boss Baby," I'd think to myself, walking down the street. Glancing at every passing face, wondering who I should tell. But it was never the right time. I thought I would have to hide this information away for my entire life. I thought I would have to take it to my grave. I wished I'd never learned it. I yearned, so very strongly, to hear the Japanese audio of Boss Baby. I prayed every night that it would appear in my YT subscription feed. That one day, my knowledge would play an important role. Much as Megumi Han did in the Oscar-nominated animated classic, Boss Baby (2017). Thank you. Thank you for letting me have this.
