Problem is that this judge was reprimanded by the state bar many times for how SHE treated people in her courtroom, including in this instance. There was another case in which the plaintiff had done everything by the book, but he did not need the money from the case (he was simply seeking damages from a rental property he owned) and this judge did not like his attitude when he asked that she refer to him as Doctor, because was a heart surgeon. She went off about how he needs to "respect" the robe, and she threw him out. So many other cases like this. This is why she will NEVER be involved in actual cases and will only be doing little grievances for the rest of her career.

I moved out at 22, because even though I had a full time job, paid half the rent, bought all the groceries, took care of my mom's dogs, did all the chores and did whatever my mom asked, she still said I was a freeloader. She ended up having to move out of her house because there wasn't a second income coming into the house. Checkmate.

The handicap one almost made me cry. (Context: I’m a full time wheelchair user with multiple chronic illnesses and physical disabilities). I needed to get to the hospital (it was an emergency and I was being taken by an ambulance) I had a massive seizure and they needed to clear my airway as I couldn’t breathe. I was on a gurney instead of my wheelchair inside the ambulance and there’s a slot so an ambulance can pull up and rush the patient in to Resus as soon as they arrive at the hospital. Well… a car had parked across the road that ambulances use to get to the emergency entrance (they have a separate entrance way) he had parked across the entire road. So the paramedics had to stop in front of the car get me out on a stretcher and carry me into the hospital as there wasn’t enough room on either side of the car to push a gurney…. The paramedics waited with me as they needed to ensure I was safe and they needed to wait for someone to move that car. It turns out the guy that parked his car there had a blood test and he was running late…. A bLoOD TeST?!?! Is what the paramedics screamed when they found out. He was charged £1000 and had to formally apologise to me (whilst I had tubes down my throat and had just finished seizing so I was in a horrific state. I hope that man felt really bad that day. But no matter how bad he felt I guarantee both myself and the two paramedics felt MUCH WORSE. 😢 People! Please don’t park in disability parking spaces, or block ambulances or access to roads etc. peoples lives could be on the line like mine was… 😢

He was only fined £1000?! He should have gotten far worse than that! I’m not sure what they get fined here in the US, but I’m sure it’s not enough here, either. There is literally NO excuse for ANYONE to park where ambulances need to be. Hospitals have these amazing things called parking lots where all non emergency people are supposed to park. Maybe he was misinformed about that… 🙄 I hope I get to see something like that one day. Paramedics may not be able to do much about it, but I sure can. I’m the crazy lady who freaked on some woman for parking on the sidewalk right in from of Target, literally right in front of the building. I don’t tolerate entitled people, so I followed her in and freaked out so bad she left. Then I went shopping 😂 So I hope I see something as stupid as what you had to deal with one day… At least I can raise hell more than the paramedics. I’d be the ones telling them to take you in, don’t worry about the guy, I got this. The guy would have done more than pay a small fine and apologize to you. You’d have gotten flowers every day you were in the hospital, balloons, stuffed animals, whatever would have cheered you up. All at his expense.

I'm a 43-year-old woman and I live with my parents. I do get some people sneering at it - until I explain that I pay rent, do chores, pay the pets' vet bills, pay the internet, buy food, and help my parents (who are in their 70s). I could never afford to live on my own in a decent place and, in my country it's not that safe as a woman. My parents would have to downscale or move to a retirement place instead of staying in the home they worked their whole lives to afford. It works out for everyone. Plus, in such an overpopulated world with serious housing shortages, it just doesn't make sense to keep putting up homes, when there is already space in an existing home. Many cultures around the world have extended family living in 1 home. You do you. If it works for you, who cares what other people think?

Fellow Aussie here. I'm so glad we don't have all that bullshit here. It's not up to customers to pay your wage, it's your employer's job. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I hope you told that "lovely" woman where she can stick her tip!! If that happened to me I'd say to them, "Here's a tip - get E 2nd job if you want more money"! I do tip in certain circumstances, like coffee shops that do great service, and are really polite and friendly. Thak God we pay people decent wages, however, with the current rents in Australia, it's only just enough for people to get by.

In America restaurant servers get paid anywhere from $2-$7 an hour. Tips are literally what pay their rent. My coworker moonlights as a server on weekends and works 12 hours a day for server wage. Also, they were promised $18/hr during the pandemic, and as soon as all restrictions were lifted they pulled hourly pay back to $7/hr. Like, make it make sense.
@montananerd8244
@montananerd8244 17 күн бұрын
@@tankgirl4558I agree that servers are underpaid, but in many states they have to make minimum BEFORE tips, thank goodness Montana is this way. I’ll admit, I’m a bit jealous, local servers often make 14-20/hr plus tips, which beats what I make with an MA. Long term fancy restaurant staff actually make a decent living. But we have an unusual number of restaurants, we serve a 500 mile radius of rural people who come to the city a few times a year, & we have an interstate junction. Servers still put up with all kind of employer nonsense, but with tips, most full time servers make more than office workers & non profit employees, but minus the benefits

My nephew is 30,single, and just now looking to move out. My niece, two years younger, went to college out of state, moved home after graduating, then eventually moved into a place with her longtime boyfriend a few years ago whilst working through since high school and still studying to advance. However, nephew finished community college, worked through high school and college, also traveled with friends whilst he could, and works two jobs to finance his travels. He also contributes to utilities and takes care of his own food since my sis and bro in law work full time. Their friends have always stopped by like a 2nd home, and they know their kids' friends well. He'll pick up groceries if they ask him to, and it works for all. They are going to miss him when he moves out but he has not freeloaded, either.

I got a story you'd like for the new year. My husband has Cerebral Palsy he cannot walk without a cane. We went to Walmart and pulled up to get into a spot when this large van pulled into it. I got mad, but my husband said it was okay and we'd park somewhere else. I asked he wait since I didn't see any handicap placards on the car tags. (The parking lot was full, and he couldn't walk far without falling and hurting himself) Out came all these kids and this very large woman who was , I guess, over 350 lbs. She had no walker or anything with her. And a very skinny husband. I got our and asked if they had a placard. The woman glared at me and said. "I have a thyroid issue I can park there." "Not legally if you don't have a placard." "Are you police?" "No, but I can always call 911, and you can get those fines under the placard there." I pulled out my phone , and I always had 911 on speed dial since you never know what happens. The husband asks the wife and kids to get back in the van because clearly they don't have a placard. The wife cursed at me, and they moved. My husband parked his car. The van drove up next to me, and the woman cursed at me. My husband walked out of his car with his cane. And I saw the color leave her face. Realizing yea, my husband actually was disabled. They drove off

There could be a year's worth of videos on this channel of disability stories. I've got enough to fill a month's worth of content. The amount of audacity and lack of humanity you encounter as a disabled person. Last month I went to a shop where the only wheelchair accessible space was taken by a couple that didn't leave their car the whole time, did not have a blue badge and were chain smoking out of the windows. So not only did I have to get my wheelchair out of a tiny gap, I then had an asthma attack wheeling past their car. And then you get the other side when people look disgusted at you for parking in a disabled bay, even though you have a badge, because you don't look the way they think you should. It comes down to, if you're authorised to park there, do so, and don't judge people for it. If you're not authorised, you're breaking the law. If I go out and I forget my badge, I can't park in the space.

@@chanelingram5334 you’d be SUPER surprised how many people just don’t tip. you can be super nice and give great service and still about 30% of people don’t tip. it isn’t fair that cheapskates can get away with not tipping and saving money when us actual decent people tip. i’d much rather servers get paid fair wages so no one has to tip, maybe the food would just be a bit more expensive, but douchebags wouldnt get cheaper prices overall by not tipping

I work as a driver at dominos. I make $10.5 an hour (other drivers make $9, I’ve been here for 7 years) then I get $1 per delivery and my tips. So my wage literally relies on tips. It definitely sucks. Lots of days I’ll leave with like $12 an hour and then I have days where I make $25-$30 an hour. The good days make up for the bad. Minimum wage where I live is $15/hr

An old neighbor of mine tried to kill my trees because she thought the limbs would damage her house. They wouldn't, she lived 3 houses away from mine. I found out later she had dementia. She was a nice lady once we got to know her a little. She would ask my hubby for help with stuff around her house like setting up her kerosene heater when we got ice or snow. She had to move-in with her daughter a few years ago we started finding her on her roof cleaning it.

I was in an online game where you could chat with people. Another player (who was very mature) mentioned she had to clean snow off her roof. I expressed concern for her wellbeing, she got snotty with me for some reason, and would never speak to me again. Even re-read what I'd said, in case the wording was offensive; couldn't find the issue. I only mentioned my concern to her because a friend of mine's father fell from his roof and died a few years back, and this person was way older than he was at that time. Maybe she thought I was calling into question her competence; but slippery roofs won't care about that.

I had a neighbor, recently, that thought I should be picking up all the pine cones out of her yard because they came from my pine trees. I was busy fighting cancer, so I didn't agree. Then, she pruned my holly bush, and let's just say landscaping was not her wheelhouse. I wrote her a polite and I mean 100% polite note asking her not to prune that bush again as it was mine. She was never rude again. I didn't actually think that would work, but I always start with being nice, because sometimes you just don't understand another person's perspective. That said, I would not have been nice if she had tried to kill the bush. There are limits after all.

6:42 the nail salon can be annoying. Last time I went I felt like this but I kept it in. I was there right after they opened. They put my feet in water and by the time they got to me the water was cold. It took them over 2 hours to do a pedicure on me meanwhile people coming in after me were getting a mani/pedi and leaving. My solution save the money and do my own nails where I can relax, watch a movie, and have a glass of wine while doing it. And it doesn’t cost 50-60$ a hit.

Yeah I thought so too + putting the customer in the position of making an appointment and still not tending to her for a long ass time. Sure, it was a bit of an overreaction but lowkey, she deserves to react that way if she had to make an appointment and had to wait who knows for how long AND having a flight on the same day aka the importance of the time the appointment was at being planned. When some nail salon ladies don't care about customer service and clearly don't care about time management, it can trigger people.. especially when their plans go haywire. I've been in situations like that but I never said anything or caused anything. I just complained to my mom (cuz I was with her at the time) but I complained quietly as if we were chatting, keeping my tone in check (I described it that way because we spoke a different language). On the other hand, I do not condone that part of her reaction was to insult the lady's English level. Definitely do your own nails or go to a respectable salon if you have to but if you wanna go to a cheap place, you're going to get cheap treatment - is what I think.

I worked at a coffee shop and I had this coworker who would literally get so upset when people didn't tip (which would be most of the time). I mean, going on ranting behind their backs after they left on how they didn't tip or the tip they left was just chump change. I mean yeah, in an industry where most of your pay is from tips, not getting very many can be frustrating. But it's not their responsibility to tip. It just made me feel really uncomfortable whenever she'd get mad about it, because to me I could understand why someone wouldn't/couldn't. Maybe they were entitled jerks, or maybe they were living paycheck to paycheck and just needed a coffee to get through the day even when they could barely afford it. Their lives aren't our business to gripe and moan about. The only times it would make me frustrated is having someone pay with large bills for a small order and leave nothing, but who knows, maybe they still needed groceries or something. I've compensated by over tipping, like 10 or 15 dollars when I have the money, just to try and make someone's day who may not be doing so well. All in all, I guess, just be kind. The service industry is a difficult place. Customers, try to treat the staff like people, with kindness. Workers, try to be understanding and focus on doing the best you can. It's rough, but we can all be better.

Very productive bushes; the group usually yielded about 6 ice cream pails full every season. Some of them began to sprout on her side. One day I noticed the bushes looked a little sickly. A week later I saw her spraying 12:52 something over the fence. It was RoundUp-she was killing the plants that she collected (thinking I wouldn’t notice when she’d have a bucket and be reaching over the fence) berries from. The only time I didn't tip well was at a restaurant I was very familiar with in college (down to knowing the table numbers). Went in with another student, and we could hear the waitress complaining to the host that he shouldn't have sat college students in her section at our table number because "they don't tip well" before she even came by our table. Well, she must have been prophetic--because after not wanting to take our orders, spilling drinks on us and not re-making them until we made a fuss about it, and being overly petty about bringing the check after every single thing we ordered, we might have tipped the bus boy directly and only rounded up on the actual check. I don't think I saw her again at the restaurant again, oddly enough.

You say that like tips are something people should be embarrassed to receive. It's the free market at work: tips are rewards for good service, paid directly to the person who provided the service instead of through a middle-man. I always tip very generously, usually much more than 20%…I’ve actually never had a restaurant experience so bad that I didn’t want to tip the waitress. At least a bad experience that was actually the waiter/waitress’s fault. It is really terrible for customers to take things out on the servers when it’s things like bad food, a long wait because it’s crowded, or the chefs are taking their good sweet time cooking the food. I was a waitress in high school and if the cook didn’t like any one of us, he would take it out on our customers so we wouldn’t get tipped.

Recently I was out at a restaurant to celebrate my brother's birthday. Somehow, even though we (me, husband, 2 kids) ordered at the same time, only one order, for my oldest, came out. Turns out our orders got delivered to another table...??? Finally got the adult orders out while my youngest son waited (the rest of us shared our fries with him while we waited). Our order was massively messed up, my kids got tired, and we just asked for the bill. They comped us his order, and I still tipped the waiter 30% (hopefully to cover the comped part of our bill). Sometimes things go wrong, but I'll always tip the wait staff - their wages are bottom of the barrel, and their jobs are tough.

I agree that people have a negative stigma attached to those living at home but that's the same with fandoms, gamers, anime fans and others. It doesn't fit "the norm" therefore it's "wrong" nvm the fact that our parent's generation totally screwed up so badly we're the ones paying for it lol

Most definitely one of the WORST AND BEST years ive had thus far. Moved away from all friends and family then we lost our house along with 2 puppies and our only vehicle BUT we now have a bigger better house (and cheaper somehow) had another baby and we are about to buy a brand new van (we now have 4 kids a van is our ONLY option) lol so cant be too upset ❤

Having worked security in Hollywood, I've met some amazingly entitled people. One of the things I'd hear was "Do you know who I am"? My response is "Yes, your the guy about to skid down the sidewalk if you don't do what I ask". Or some similar snarky response

I think Billy Eichner was the entitled one. Like how dare that woman not know who he is. Also he seem to be calling a lot of people homophobic for not rushing to see his movie in the theatre. It was a streaming level movie Billy. It made him look very entitled or at least a bit unaware that most people do not know who he is.

@@mikelaw9317 you are not wrong she was no treat. Billy did come off more entitled this year than that woman though.

I have mixed feelings about him. But I feel in that clip, he was giving attitude to defend himself from the woman; she charged first from what we see

The issue wasn't that she didn't know who he was, it was how aggressively she made it clear she didn't know who he was and, therefore, he must be some "internet" poser who shouldn't be out bothering people - when she walked up to him.

@@DerpDevilDD If you have seen Billy on the street him getting upset because people don't know who he is, happens a lot. The whole tantrum over no one going to see his movie is who he is 95% of the time.

I managed a restaurant. I had no control over the base pay my delivery drivers received. Sometimes they would not get tipped. So I went against company policy and set up a tip jar inside the restaurant to help boost their income. All three of my drivers were college students and just trying to get by.

Doesn't exist in Australia. Some people occasionally tip good service, but it's mainly at cafes and fish and chip shops - places like that. And then, it's mainly repeat customers.

The first one, is relatable, that’s happened to me before and here its not even like a requirement that you tip ( especially in restaurants ) you do it if the service is good but asking for a tip is how you don’t get tipped, simple as that
