"You have no idea where the property line is. You weren't old enough to see it put up!" Now, Miss Ma'am. First, *what?* Second, this isn't the 1500s, her great-grandfather didn't have to draw up a map of his territory on the back of his first dollar where he kept it hidden in a tomato soup can buried out back by the well. Property lines are public record.

THIS! And generally an easy dispute to settle. Plus, if they're new neighbors, they probably have a good idea of the boundaries.

@@goldengryphon I know, people try and act like a property line is so hard to figure out. A property survey is part of the purchase. They almost certainly know the property lines better if they recently purchased the house. Especially if the other people have lived there forever and inherited the property. Chances are good they never even saw an actual property survey and are just going off of what their parents or grandparents said.

We can just pay a city surveyor a small fee to come out and reestablish the property lines. Dad kept telling our next door neighbor that he moved the lot line, corner marked with rebar, and my dad is an engineer and has had to do surveying of property so he knows his stuff. Surveyor came out, not only did neighbor move it but he put another one through our old clay waste water pipe, everything built mid/late 70s, on HIS PROPERTY, and we'd been having tree roots blocking up the pipe for years. Guess who had to pay for that repair? Not us! He moved the markers a few feet towards our house along the whole property line, said it never changed, but the railroad ties marking out our gardens that had been there since 1980, and the hundred year old oak trees on that side beg to differ! Oh, and the cherry on top? His yard crew would blow all of the leaves off the roof and from that side of the yard right into our yard. We're both disabled so we don't really do it ourselves and can't afford to have someone do it for us. Dad yelled at the guys and the "manager" multiple times with no success. Our city has leaf pickup all fall and winter. Make a line along the curb and they suck them right up, even the wet ones stuck to the grass, and road, because people don't seem to understand what, "inside your lot line, not on the street," means. Fortunately when he died and his wife was alone she didn't pay for that.

I experienced a Karen at a Walmart! She went off on a cashier for taking her time with a handicap customer and she actually went to customer service to lodge a complaint with management about the cashier! So I went to customer service and asked if a woman approached them and complain about the cashier and they confirmed it and I told them exactly what happened and they told me thank you and they appreciated me coming to them and letting them know what really happened! As I was leaving I let the cashier know that I told the manager the truth and she said thank you! It made me happy to do this!

We had a guy get his order messed up because he wasn't being clear about what he wanted and the idiot left fine and then came back demanding we remake it and refund him and while we were trying to follow procedures he threatened to call the cops. And this was all when we were about to close (I'm not talking an hour or something, I'm talking maybe five minutes before closing time) so there really wasn't much that we could do since so many things were already turned off and put away by the time he showed up. We did the best we could. It was an empty threat because he knew the cops wouldn't do anything. I ended up flipping him off as he drove away and then gave a nice big smile and waved as he passed us on the highway when I got off the clock. Part of me hopes he saw it, but I know that he didn't otherwise he would've came back considering how hostile he was the entire time when we weren't rude and really tried to do what we could with what our procedures would allow us to do.

The poor woman outside McDonald's looks like she rounds the corner and notices this idiot filming her. She takes offence and threatens to call the police as she obviously feels threatened. Rightly so. What right does he have to just film and harass her? He's just laughing at her and has labelled her a 'Karen" for an unknown reason. No backstory. Would like to see his reaction to some random idiots just filming him calling him names. The sad truth is that this one word strips women of any power in any argument, legitimate or no. Stand up for yourself... You're a Karen, answer back, you're a Karen. Welcome to the meme machine and your new name, until it becomes irrelevant... 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I know it can be fun to make fun of the Karens in the wild. I just wanted to share something nice. I've noticed when I went grocery shopping over the Christmas/Hanukkah season, every single person I passed and almost bumped into, I immediately apologized and that person would smile and say, "It's ok." Or if we were waiting in long lines, no one was grumpy. We actually chatted while waiting. The same thing happened yesterday. Just kindness, friendliness. It just gave me so much hope for the future. I just thought I would share something nice to make you and others smile. I hope 2023 is a fabulous, and profitable year for you, and your followers.

As someone who used to work at McDonald's, I can confirm that McDonald's gets a lot of customers with anger issues. That manager in the last one is amazing for standing up to that Kyle instead of giving them what they want. You won't believe how angry people will get over cold fries. I remember one time we couldn't serve chocolate milkshakes because we were out of the chocolate flavoring. One customer got so mad that he yelled at me (taking the order) and the two employees working the windows. One of my coworkers was coming in from break, and she asked that man, "Do you feel good yelling at kids? Does yelling at kids make you feel like a big guy?" Another time we had some teenagers come through the drive-thru and order "10 McDickens". My coworker (who is also a good friend of mine) told my manager. My manager said, "Give me the headset". My manager went outside to the car, and told them "Get the f*ck out of my drive-thru."

We ordered and went to sit down at a table and wait. Suddenly I hear this old man screaming at the worker about his sandwich! I felt such secondhand embarrassment cause this was a grown man throwing a tantrum! We were 3 teenagers and we were waiting patiently. Like in your area, it was perfectly ok to fight others as long as both sides agreed to it (the "you wanna take this outside?" method). Sucker punches were considered unsporting, as was bringing a weapon into the fight. He apparently got his early fight experience getting into quite a few of these brawls, and *never* got arrested for assault. Were it not him discovering karate, then later Brazilian jujitsu, he'd never have gone to the UFC

I worked in retail for 14 years. Never been so glad that I got fired for being on a leave of absence for over the year they allowed. Been the best 2 (almost 3) years of freedom in my life! I'm on the autism spectrum (I'm an aspie) and for some reason my co-workers seemed to think I handled Karen's the best and I always got sent to handle them (I mean, yeah there was a few that liked me and never acted like a Karen around me, but some were just outright assholes and almost sent me into an autistic meltdown. I had to end up going to break after dealing with most of them. I think my co-workers liked sending me because I was 'calm' but if they'd have paid attention I was also anxiously stimming. To be fair though I hid the fact that I was autistic so they didn't know... people treat you like you're either an idiot or defective or like they can catch it when they find out. So I just kept it to myself and just learned my own coping mechanisms. I think a few of my co-worker did eventually catch on that I'm on the spectrum, but they kept it to themselves. I suspected they figured it out because of how they acted around me. Luckily a few of the ones I suspect knew eventually realized that I was still the same person I was before they knew and that my brain just worked differently then theirs).

I had a weird trapezoid property I knew I had about 1 riding mowers width behind the start of my fence and about 2 riding mowers widths at the end of the fence/garden area. However, we got along with the neighbors so if we went too far or not far enough, he or I would mow the extra and get on with life. I miss that property but almost an acre is too much for me if my mower doesn't work

@@csailer2353 There's a difference between not knowing and not having the information, too, though. I know by being with people when they've bought their houses that the realtor will give you a property report which is definitely something you should keep, but even if you were to misplace it you can call your realtor or the state's records archive and get another copy. If you don't know where your property line is that's quite literally on you. That being said, I'm pretty much just assuming that these are U.S. karens

@@suzi_mai uh personal experience don't be too confident with title insurance. For me it didn't cover the mistake of a surveyor. I paid Surveyor that the title insurance company recommended when I purchased land for a home. When I decided to sell the home I found out at a double closing it turns out my home was built on half of my property and half of another landowner's vacant lot. Yeah the property markers were there for the 3 lots, but the surveyor marked the wrong area to build on. Title insurance didn't cover it. They said the title was valid for my property, but they don't cover mistakes of the surveyor (that they recommended). The surveyor had retired and died (auto accident) so any insurance he had as a sole proprietor would be a lengthy process to claim and the builder told me they built what was agreed upon where the property was marked. The real estate lawyer I used when I had bought property said surveyor or builder and not his fault. So I had to buy the other lot for a premium price because the empty lot I had couldn't be swapped because of adjacent property already built and size. The land owner of the lot was upset since he had bought two adjacent lots and my house was on half his property. It was a friggin mess. We had to redo our plans, pull money out of Roth and retirement at a penalty, our stuff was already moved out. We were fortunate that the buyer of our home didn't need to move in right away and with alot of time off from work and paying a premium to the other landowner whom we mistakenly built on. He lived in another state we got the mess resolved thanks to Federal Express that got the documents to him. So title insurance didn't cover it. They covered their own butt so it was a $20K mistake in 2006 dollars not including early withdrawal penalties from a retirement account and taxes. I thought about suing the title company, but since it was a verbal agreement to use a surveyor they knew I felt like I'd be rolling a two ton turd up the mountain just to recover my additional outlays or even a portion. Painful lesson learned.

I was recently at a dollar tree where I saw a Karen get herself fired. A boy set his water down so he could put some 2 liter bottles in his cart (mom was somewhere else). He forgot it and walked off. The employee, aka Karen, yelled at him for leaving trash on the shelf. He kept trying to say he simply forgot it. She wasn't having any of it and kept yelling how it wasn't her job to clean up after him. Mom finally heard her boy start raising his voice and hauling ass over there. She started yelling about how rude she was being. The manager finally came over and saw everything. She tried getting them Karen to walk away, even saying, "Karen, take your break, now." Karen didn't listen. The manager gave one last warning and literally said, "Don't make me fire you this close to Christmas." Karen yelled how it wasn't her job to pick up trash in the store. The manager told her it was literally part of her job description, and she was fired. Karen cried about it being the week before Christmas. The manager just told Karen she needed to go elsewhere as her lack of Christmas spirit was no longer welcome there.

I think I might have been a Karen the other day, but a car pulled out in front of me in a 45 going 25miles per hour, in a spot I couldn’t go around them. There was a line of cars honking their horns and yelling out their windows at these people trying to get them to speed up, so when I was able to pull up next to them (after a little over two miles) at a red light I informed them they were going 25 in a 45 and they go “we know, we are just enjoying the day!” I snapped and yelled something about “maybe try enjoying your day in a way that doesn’t negatively affect others! When I take my cart back to the corrals, I grab any other ones I see that were left in spaces so that others can park. My grocery store doesn't allow patrons to take video, but one day I heard some teen girls giggling, and from the corner of my eye I saw they were taking video of me. I pretended not to notice. I was wearing faded overalls (I actually do have a goat ranch), my grey hair in typical ol' lady bun, and carrying a lifelike rubber chicken purse that looks exactly like my Buff Orpington hen, "Sunny". I started making clucking chicken noises, and shushing my "chicken" and promising her she would get a treat when we got home. I thought those girls were going to fall on the floor laughing! I never did let them know I was aware they were taking video. I'm just disappointed I haven't seen myself in a viral video! I often "misbehave" in public, but in a good way. My fiancé works at a Dollar Tree. He had a male Karen insist that he was allowed to park AT THE DOOR (on the sidewalk, close enough that if the doors to the store opened they could hit his truck) because his wife would ‘only be a couple minutes’. Half an hour later, man Karen was still there and not moving his truck. And it was running. So the front entry would fill with exhaust whenever the door would open.

The girl gets into the woman’s face and then tells her to get out of her face? Girl, you put your own self there! 😅 It also seems like a lot of these folks are deliberately antagonizing people in order to get these Karen videos.

The problem I find with a lot of videos is that the context of what led up to the point that they started filming is not documented. So it is hard for me to fully judge someone's words and actions. I have no idea what occurred beforehand. Like my abusive ex would constantly verbally and emotionally abuse me until I finally hit my breaking point and would start yelling at him and using his own tactics back at him, and then he would start recording me to prove that I was the unstable one, because if that was the only part someone heard, that is what it would seem like.

@@emilygreene6779 yep. 👍 60 years ago, my father would do the same thing to my mother, so she would start yelling and cursing at him, and he could pretend to be the innocent victim. It’s nasty covert passive-aggressive sh*t. I’m glad for you that he’s your ex! 🙏

I have a Child Karen story from a week ago: So me and my friend, that I'll call Sam, were just hanging out on the swings at recess, you see, the swing set had 8 sections and 2 swings in each section. Another friend of ours was hanging out with us until a girl, that I will name Beth, came over to us and tried to take Sam's swing because she wanted to swing by our friend David. Their was a swing on the other side of David but Beth just HAD to have Sam's swing. So we tried to tell her to go to the other swing, but she threw mulch at us and pushed me, then David ran to the teacher for help because Beth was trying to fight me for no reason. The funny part is that we're in the literal 7th grade. This has been going on for a good 4 years know and it's getting ridiculous. Thank you for listening to my story.

I had a classmate that used to bully me. She bit me, choked me, and was always very mean. It turned out that she had a life threatening allergy, and the medicine she takes to save her life made her mean. My son had a bully too. He was a kid who had really severe arthritis to the point some days he couldn’t even walk. These children that try to hurt others, feel sorry for them. They’re usually lashing out because they’re in pain.

@@PandaFan581 Honestly, she doesn’t sound worth your time to understand why. If it were me in your situation, I’d just accept that there’s something wrong in her life, feel good about where I am, and protect myself against her aggressions when needed. In the long term, she won’t matter one bit to you.

I'd try and cut her out. Life's too short to deal with people like that everyday. I get it's harder when you're at school though because you have to see her all the time, it's much easier to cut people out your life when you're an adult. Hope you find some kind of peace with the situation
