Now that im back home in Virginia, its time to show you guys what all ive been up to these past few weeks! I drove my 2010 Jeep Wrangler JK from VA, all the way out to Arizona for the 2019 Powerstop Trail to SEMA!
The event was a blast, we did so many great trails and i met so many great people.
Participants:
LiteBrite, Bleepin Jeep, Busted Knuckle, MischiefMakerTV, Dirt Life Style Nate, HP Tuners, Ian Johnson, Flex Rocks and Rollovers, Revkit, George, Tiffany Stone, Dirt Preferred, and the Powerstop Host Kris.
As you can tell, the trip included a bunch of great people and some amazing rigs!
We started off in Arizona and did some trails there. We then toured the Rigid Industries facility and even got to build our own light! We then headed to Big Bear, CA. We spent 2 days there, doing John Bull, Holocomb Creek and a few other trails. Then we went out to Johnson Valley where the King of the Hammers is located! Johnson valley was amazing, the trails were hardcore, and being in the middle of the desert lakebed was an incredible feeling paired with surreal views.
On the first day in Johnson Valley, we all had the day off to relax, make repairs etc.. Hollie (MischiefMaker) and myself, decided to go offroading and do Sledgehammer. It was a great trail, but somehow out of the blue i broke my Ujoint. I was a little suprised, the axle is a Superduty Dana 60, using 1480 ujoints. But i guess i found the weak spot, or maybe the u joint was damaged prior to when it broke. Either way, i found some good used shafts and installed a new U joint at camp. I have a question for you guys, would you like to see a How-To video on changing U-Joints on the trail without a press? It is something everyone should know how to do, and can be very simple once you learn how.
We then continued on, more wheeling in Johnson Valley, which sadly i was unable to get film of (Hard to do when your all alone in your Jeep lol). After that, we ended up in sand hollow UT. This is an Offroad paradise, the trails were great, the obstacles were big, and the views were astounding.
Overall, the trip was a blast and i hope i get invited next year!!!!
Now, how did my upgrades hold up?? I will be talking about that in a future video, but everything worked how i wanted it to!
