Melbourne Australia. I know my local exotic cars rental company have a annual rental package for $50000AUD. you have some limited milage on all the supercars(they have about 20 supercars) and some airport pickup services or short trips include the driver's fee for any luxury cars. Their garage only fits 30 cars and 5 spots at the front when they have more than 40 cars... so I guess they are doing good....

I'm curious about what people think of dealerships offering "rental" cars programs. You pay so much into a particular option/program and you have unlimited access to specific vehicles and you can switch out as much as you want. No, there werent many exotic dealerships that I heard was doing it, but you do have Mercedes, Lexus, Audi and that kinda overlaps with Rob's business

The reason folks with money rent is time and hassle. They don't want to think about purchasing, titling, plating, insuring, maintaining and then selling the vehicle. Or let's say they sell DO sell the vehicle, the next guy sues them saying it crashed and they were injured because of an undisclosed defect (deep pockets draw lawsuits like crazy because many settle because a rich person doesn't want to spend 3 weeks doing court stuff). So instead they have their assistant call 2-3 places, get some quotes for a car in the hamptons for the summer and done. They get a reasonable price, someone else worries about everything. That is almost always what the rich want. A somewhat reasonable deal, delivered by someone who knows what they are doing, properly insured etc. THAT SAVES THEM TIME AND HASSLE. If you want to get into a good business, get into the saving rich people time and hassle business (whatever area) - you will do surprisingly well.

I understand the mileage thing in regards to cost, but it does seem a bit wrong (i know its applicable to most motor rental companies) But if you rent a computer they dont charge by the hours it was turned on or cpu cycles, Rent a drill they dont charge by each rotation, I use those as some people use them less then others but each person pays the same The mileage cost should be included with the rental price, people are renting it to drive it not to leave it parked in your warehouse, But like i say i understand why its done,

how do you fix the scratches ? seriouselly? you either a) overcharge the hell of any scratch and fix it with correct ferrari paint or B) you have amazing mechanics, all I know is I wish my brand new car had the brand new paint yours have. cant park it anywhere the car gets scratch even being super cautious the other drivers don't care or the typical jealous scratch here and there

As much as I'd love to buy like a nice supercar or something, It breaking is the exact problem I'd have. Do I really wanna pay the fix prices on top of however much the car was? Not really.

You can buy a nice 7th series bmw from last gen, for 25k and the guy spends 72 for renting the same thing with a nicer badge

Do you trust an aging bmw 7 series to get you across the country and back. Atleast spend the 70k on a new 5 series so it is under warranty.

These are the kids and grandkids of “self made” rich people. The “old man” would be flying coach and renting a Budget Taurus; no matter what was in his checking account. The spoiled kids, however, run through it like tap water!
