The separatist droid army was absolutely massive, so big in fact that the Separatist Senate actually lost track of how many had been produced over the course of the war. Among their ranks were all sorts of droids from the tiny separatist repair droids to the massive Octuparra Tri-droids. But which of these was the most expensive to produce, and was it worth it? Well today we’re going to break it down and get deep into the technicals of the droid to see just how capable the most expensive separatist battle droid was….
So before we dive into it, make sure to hit that subscribe button, join the StarForceOne discord server in the description below and let’s get into it!
So there are actually two main contenders for the most expensive droid, and although their size isn’t remotely close, you’ll see why they could both be very expensive in a second. So first up, we have the B3 Ultra Battle Droid. This was an incredibly large advanced model based on the B2 Super Battle Droid, which towered over enemies and had vast and powerful offensive systems. In contrast to the regular B2’s blaster cannons, with them only being able to wield a rocket launcher if they had a specific modification, the B3 Ultra Battle droid wielded a rocket launcher, two rapid fire blaster cannons which could be retracted, a flamethrower, and a plasma cannon which had a wide field of impact.

The droids of the cis were always funny to me. They are strong against regular combatants like clone troopers or rebel/gorilla fighters but when it comes to jedi they are just useless in most cases. However this one droid is interesting in the fact there was so few. Makes sense why

@@johnpatz8395A clone’s standard issue rifle is apparently capable of punching through half a meter of reinforced concrete, and is as powerful as a real world anti tank grenade rifle. B2s are frankly just that tough, which makes sense considering they’re basically just walking blocks of steel. Most of their armor is protecting dead space, acting as a sort of shield for everything behind them.

While these are probably the most expensive humanoid droids, many of the ships controlled by the CIS were piloted by massive droid-brains, technically making them the most expensive. Great video BTW looking forward to more content 😀

Unlikely since droid already can control most ships it's the equivalent of wiring a droid brain into a ship instead of the whole connecting a droid to a ship.

The B3 actually sounds far worse than the Cortosis B2. All that weaponry, and that massive height and heavy weight could probably also spell certain doom for unarmed opponents. I wonder though:Is the Cortosis B2 immune to the Force? I know a precise blaster bolt straight to the sensor could help bring it down, but still. Anybody know anything about the Cortosis model in regards to the Force itself? Somebody lemme know.
@starsilverinfinity

The Cortosis doesn’t make it immune to the force, just highly resistant to energy weapons including lightsabers There aren’t really any materials that block the force sans force imbued materials and iirc force fields

Most we've seen of the force used in big battles or in general is force push, and most "kills" by Jedis are through lightsaber cut and blaster bolt deflection.

@@GenJuhru Agreed, outside of some niche skills the majority of jedi moves in a serious fight against non FS is related to telekinesis or just using their lightsaber - rarely you get stuff like special abilities as mentioned prior. I have a question: How do they measure time in universe? Obviously, they wouldn’t say, “15BBY” they didn’t know what the Battle of Yavin was! Wjat about time as in calendars as well?
@tata4tw
@tata4tw 7 ай бұрын
I mean if you're going to start with that, what exactly is a "year" in this galaxy? Surely no two planets orbit their sun(s) in the exact same amount of time. Years are important for keeping track of regularly repeating cycles like seasons for crops, etc., but on a galactic scale, wouldn't a "stardate"-like system that keeps counting a much smaller amount of time make more sense? Stardate 92832.329390.239202.29399 is precise, but not particularly good for use in conversations. In-universe, there's the galactic standard calendar, but it seems to be a very thin excuse for counting backward and forward from the first movie i.e. the BBY/ABY system (with the Coruscant year as it's base that's conveniently a lot like Earth's year). TL;DR: This is one of the things that does not and will not make sense. A real galactic civilization would likely use multiple calendars and have some automatic conversion options using a very user-unfriendly standard time system. Best not look at it too closely.

They would use the Ruusan Reformation (taking place in exactly 1,000 BBY as we know it) as a chronological centerpoint. Thus the Clone Wars would be said to take place in 978-981 ARR (After Ruusan Reformation).

@@swehumorofficialand what was said before that time?
@swehumorofficial
@swehumorofficial 7 ай бұрын
@@Sapphiregamer8605 Well, around the time of the Cold War, they used the Treaty of Coruscant (signed in 3653 BBY) to measure years, as BTC (Before Treaty of Coruscant) and ATC (After Treaty of Coruscant). I am actually not all that familiar with the era between the Third Galactic War (beginning in 3628 BBY/25 ATC) and the Ruusan Reformation (1000 BBY/2653 ATC), as that period was never fleshed out. It is of course possible that the Treaty of Coruscant was used for three and a half century. As for the period before the Treaty of Coruscant, there is no official source regarding which Galactic standard calendar (if any) was in use. There are, however, a number of local planetary/racial calendars that predate the Treaty of Coruscant, but which are obviously not recognized by the Galaxy at large.
