found this guy in gsme once who’s top vehicle was the au1 his username was the au1au1 or something like that and the vehicle he was flying was the au1. he had thousands of kills in it. EDIT: so i found the screenshots j took and he has 12k ground targets destroyed and like 2 or 3 thousand air targets. if you want me to post the screenshoots just let me know

Thx god I grinded for this one when the event was on, it is my most played plane (around 1700 games with it) it is so good at both Ground attack and as a fighter (only with clean wings)

I think what people often forget in the FW 190 is that their combat flaps helps alot and can deploy at very high speeds which is not seen on many other planes

I don't thing they got nerfed, I am pritty sure they are bugged right now. The HEF-I on AN/M3s does less damage then the HEF bullets on italian .50 cals even though it has more explosives then hispano HEF-I. In fact, if you go into projectile analysis you can see that the AN/M3 HEFI does not even fragment. So what I think gaijin did is they made the HEFI into a incindiary round that does not actualy explode on impact.

@@jakobc.2558 In that sense they have been bugged for much longer. But that’s also just the way that gaijin thinks all US hefi ammo works. Even on the a10 30mm ammo it doesn’t have any fragmentation. In November however there was a tweak to quite a few different ammo in the game. The anm3 rounds and Vulcan 20mm rounds were amongs some that got nerfed in that their mass was reduced which I guess also reduced their he filler because the change was immediately noticeable.

@@nicholasjensen8016 there are a couple of bullets that are litteraly bugged, as in they do not work the way they should. Next time you play the game go to the F-86K and open projectile analysis. The F-86K has a incindiary shell that litteraly does no damage. No matter where you hit a plane, even if you hit a exposed crew member on a open top ground vehicle, the bullet does zero damage and it had been like that for years.

Its a real shame they nerfed the an/m3s so hard. The velocity nerf was justified since 3km snipes from behind were kinda stupid. The f4u 4b went from being one of my favorite planes to being something i rarely play. I always prioritize flight performance over firepower, but the m3's just disappoint me every time and the matchmaker is just unenjoyable now. But i do love making people shit themselves in a dogfight with the corsairs since nobody expects it to be as good as it is. Theres so many tricks you can do with corsairs and they'll always have a special place in my heart. Proper flap management can turn corsairs into absolute monsters.

Absolutely. I understood that the F4U-4B was a monster with the pre-nerfed AN/M3's, so a nerf in of itself was justified, but the extent to which they did it felt like a bit much. I can still have good games in it, the recent addition of a third supercharger makes the performance even better, but as you said: I used to play it lots, now I rarely do. If the guns became the american equivalent of Hispano cannon, then I'd think that would be a good middle ground. But as it stands right now, I'm constantly in a sparring match with the AN/M3's so that they can perform at all...

4:42 when there aren't any enemies around, just dive down at lower speeds and slot in on his six. You don't need to boom and zoom in that instance. On the deck, the AU-1 accelerates, turns, and climbs better than nearly every German prop and is faster than every German prop in that BR range (K-4 outclimbs you, but not by a huge margin until medium to high altitude). His only chance is you making a mistake, like overshooting.

I grinded this thing out during the event and its such a blast. Fits in perfectly with the US 5.7 ground RB lineup and is good for 2-3 ground kills per life on average. It is extremely dangerous in a dogfight at the low altitudes you see in ground RB too.

Man, I love you so much, I remember you were recommended to me on your third video. From there, Ive watched most of your videos. You had less then 500 subs around 4 months ago. Your growing so fast. The most importent thing is consistentcy. Dont have to have a schedule or anything, but keep it up. I also love your livestreams man, cant wait for that cam (although I would only use if for livestreams as no webcam videos actually pull better views somehow)

I love this plane, got it in the event and didn’t sell it. Grinded half of the US tree with it. Airspawn + heavy armament makes it a terrific fighter to farm RP. Unfortunately they lowered the SL modifier like a year ago

from my experience.. anything based on the Hispano must be armed with the ground belts if you wish to kill air targets... the HE will just do nothing most of the times

Do not. It is not worth it, its just a worse F4U-4B. And if you want the ordinance then just get the A-1H from the current battlepass because the A-1H has the heavyest payload of any single engine plane in the game (it can carry enough bombs to destroy 3 bases in one go).
