2023 firmware update feedback:- #Hyvibe, four track looping unplugged is awesome. Also in 2022 to pick up on; "Lost loops." Hyvibe In an earlier update created a playback loop library with 7 g memory to store all our loops as files ready to play on the go. No regrets I trusted a passion and now play a hyvibe everyday coz it's that much fun.

One thing reviewers don't seem to have latched on to: presumably the bluetooth speaker mode would be great for doing a two-part piece? Record your first part through the output jack, then play that back through the guitar whilst playing the second part + vocals. The fact that the first part is playing through the guitar's sounding board might make it integrate really nicely with the rest of the performance?

I couldn't help but notice that the A, D, and G strings sit at an angle on the graphite saddle. (See the clip at the 2:52 mark). Can you just tweak them over where they should be, or have the strings now cut a bit of a notch in the saddle? Call me OCD if you like, but that would drive me crazy . . .

There’s a wider variety on the Lag as well as more customization . I’d say in terms of quality of sound it’s a little harder to compare since Lava has a different tone due to the carbon fiber. Both are nice. But obviously the lag is much more feature packed.

Your review was pretty good. Was it a freebie for you ? I might try one out one day but we'll see. I already have the Yamaha's Trans-acoustic so it will take a lot to impress me. So many companies fall short when it comes to updates - or turns your device into a paper weight if you don't do it right. In this case a normal acoustic. Then it will take 6 months to get it back, because it takes forever for them to fix it.
@GuitarZero2Hero2 жыл бұрын
Hey there - thanks! Yup this one was sent in exchange for a review. Completely valid points on your behlf. I'd say even if they didn't update it then it'd remain with the same functionality as the trans acoustic. I believe they have updated a few times since I posted though. But yes your concerns are absolutely valid. Test one out if you ever get the chance. The inbuilt looper is my favourite feature.

Kind of cool but nine of the effects sounded great to me. And a looper that doesn’t offer overdub is pretty poor value. I like the idea of this guitar but think you could do a lot better with the same money and a good acoustic and a multi-effects unit. Is it really worth the inferior sound just to avoid plugging in a cable or two once in a while? Not for me, thanks. But I appreciate the video and the chance to see this in action

I have the 20THV. You did not mention that the guitar effects will not work while the looper is running. Also the looper metronome is very quiet and hard to hear and cannot be increased in the metronome menu as instructed. Matt told me the volume of the looper metronome has to be controlled so that sound will not be heard in the playback. Makes sense but I have a real hard time hearing it over my playing that is being recorded. Makes it hard to come out right on the beat. I sometimes watch the light instead. No fret markers suck and even the side markers are dark and hard to see. I'll fix that myself. These are the things I have found with mine. It is lots of fun to use. It doesn't have the acoustic quality of my D28 or CE14 Taylor but it works for what I want to use it for. Herman Glimpshire
@GuitarZero2Hero3 жыл бұрын
Hi Herman! Thanks for your input. The effects actually do work whilst the looper is running, you just need to set that in the looper settings :)

@@GuitarZero2Hero After I wrote that I saw another reviewer do this while he was talking but did not say how to get there. I experimented with it and saw what he was doing to get the guitar effects to work while looping. Before, what ever I had my guitar effects set at did not function on playback of the loop once recorded. Maybe I missed something in the manual on the subject. Others writing reviews have stated it couldn't be done, but I have found that it can. Not sure if it was an upgrade of firmware from before. The guitar is a lot of fun and is the most convenient for practicing with a looper. Thanks for the reply.
