Great guide, wasn't thinking about relic of midnight king. The synergy is nice. I feel like dagger is much better. It's ranged and offers more DPS.

i like taking hte alac chorno trait and the quickness on illusoins, so you solo quick and alac yourself

yes but what does alac give you, alacrity isnt inherently that good by itself, and if you want it to give you more phantasm cooldowns then the other trait is double the effectiveness which is more burst and more overall damage

It is doable imo (replacing the domination) but that build relies on both illusion and domination traitline to deal damage. So you can use it, but you can feel the damage difference.

illusions is the only mandatory traitline, so yes go inspiration as i did to solo stuff

This build is very intelligent and really fun. I'm working on. Getting the relic at the moment. Do you think this build or any variations would work in WvW well? I have always loved Mesmer and prefer phantasms, daze/stun gameplay over the constantly creating clones shatter burst. So far this build is the closest to what I wanted from Phantasms.

@@raizen2574 spear 4 when empowered does a double phantasm which gets doubled again like the gs 4, so you have a quadra phantasm on both sets, if that aint cool then i guess not

What do you think about using the duelist traitline over domination and switching the relic to the new Zakiros? Seems like a minor dps loss over all for some insane leech potential Also is the sword mainhand just for skill 2's dodge?

the build is made for fun so change it how you want, but even with dueling youd struggle to get enough fury uptime since it only gives it on a minor trait for the zakiros relic, take dagger if you wish I dont find that weapon fun

A bit of criticism of mine, Vallun if it's not too much trouble. When you make open world build, can you show case how they do in Meta Event as well?

I think there's a misunderstanding here. Meta events are much less demanding because there are plenty of other people who will carry you if your build isnt great, so if I show you it performs well in something more difficult than that, then it will absolutely perform well in that.

@@Vallun What I meant is in tagging situation. Yeah should have word it better sorry. I use Meta as an example because it have a lot of mob. In a situation where you have to deal with those extra mob I wanna see how each open world build perform. How effective are their tagging, how they deal AOE something like that. Cuz Mesmer have bad tagging aside from Mirage tag build. Focus can pull but only few target with some CD and in scenario where multiple target come at you all at once and with some mob have range atk so they spread around, it's not perform that well in that scenario, so wanna see how you do it.

@@Vallun nah, that's ok, I expect as much. No insult intent here. I just don't like Mirage and Virtuoso playstyle, preferred Chrono myself. Wish they are more method for better tagging. I'm glad that Chrono can use Dagger now so that's something. BTW do you plan to make any Dagger Chrono build for open world in the future?

My man really was crazy enough to put Chronomancer, fun and Open World into the same title unironically. All jokes aside I don't like power Chrono because of how obnoxiously busted the greatsword is when it comes to clone generation, I'm glad that the new changes to the traits made condi a bit more viable with scepter and staff.

i love how fun this build is, but no matter what i do i don't get the timing right. Even with the same ascended gear and stats to the letter, it only registers 9K DPS on ARC DPS meter. am i doing something wrong? snowcrows video shows 41K like how is that even possible (play piano i guess)

there's a lot wrong with what you said. First of al, why do you think that this is the same build as the snow crows one? two, are you sure you are looking to do top dps with an open world build?

I am aware Its not the same build with snowcrows, but what im checking is how the meter register that high (probably opening, sequence, skill priority etc.) then checking guildjen on your write up also on your thoughts. I see your ARCDPS is hitting around 17K, i will be happy if i hit around even 12k the most. But hey thank you for you helpful comment and great video. 👍

I think you shouldnt focus on the number and more on learning the class, because there's clearly some things you're missing before you can start min maxing your dps. You should be asking "why does this skill go first in the priority" and not "why do i do 10k less damage"@@joierdan

i dont think you need soto for this at all, its core weapons on chronomancer, the relic can be made up for by going dueling instead of domination (top bot top) and you get your fury there
