Chuck was mean to Blair at the start because he was repressing his feelings for her. He didn't have a mother growing up or a father who cared about him so he treated others cruelly. He thought his love for Blair was a sign of weakness and it took him ages to admit to it and deal with it. He really matured in the series

Omg, while watching these in the show, my heart was literally having a hard time processing what I was seeing! It was so HEARTBREAKING! Ahhh the hardship in their relationship is what makes them such a strong couple! I love it so much that I can watch these so many times and still feel the same heartbreak that I did watching it the first time. Chuck and Blair are definitely one of the best tv couple of all dramas.

I enjoyed them in the first season, they were fun and crazy and I couldn't wait for them to develop, but didn't think much of it. The moment they got me was the 'Blair and Chuck holding hands' scene and never looked back. That scene explains who they are as individuals and as a couple perfectly and that's when I understood them, that they are completely unique and everything that will happen from then on would not be just another romantic relationship in a teenage drama, but a compelling story about two twisted people who can't be with anyone else because of who they are. Tragic and toxic, maybe, but absolutely riveting.

Wow! I was more caught up on the other GG show to ever watch this show. Chuck and Blair, a crazy Shakespearean love story that really tugged on the heart strings from every emotion that love can dish out. I'm hooked though extremely late to the party (lol). Both actors - exceptionally dashingly handsome and gorgeous were cast brilliantly and they both delivered devastatingly and lovingly beautifully. Crazy in love indeed for "Chair".
