That wee rattle you mentioned might be the standard pads that come in the saints (the finned ones) - had that issue with my old XT's and it went away with standard pads.

Yeah we stuck different pads in from the finned shimano ones

If you compare that pivot pheonix to all the downhill bikes what you had, you think the high pivot is a big plus by how it feels or is just a small difference ?, cheers and always good videos man 🤘🏽
@LewisBuchanan21 сағат бұрын
Thanks! I think it’s maybe a tiny difference but I couldn’t really tell much of a difference between this and my v10

Sounds like the rear needed a little more air to stop that chipper feeling, and to get it cornering better. And you did say it felt a tad soft

Maybe. Think the front end was just too high

Nice video about another dream bike. Really like that pivot does things a bit differently with the two chains. I’ve got an idea about a two or three video series, it would be nice to see you also test some entry level bike models with the lowest specs available and share how they compare to the V10, the pivot and other dream builds. You could test things like entry level cube two15 or commencal frs. I am pretty sure the young park shredders would like to see sth in their price range. Cheers, keep pushing great content

Should I assume, given your criticism of the engagement on the rear hub, that you're not a fan of Ochain these days or is the hub engagement so slow that it's more of a dead spot than you'd get from running Ochain?
@LewisBuchananСағат бұрын
Yeah I’ve decided to lock out my ochain now haha! But I see why it has a benefit really
@sandy_knight59 минут бұрын
@@LewisBuchanan Gotcha. For racing I guess it depends on the course. For flatter, smoother courses where you're pedalling out of corners you'd be faster without Ochain, for steep courses with lots of rock gardens you'll save more time if your suspension is working unhindered.
