All Bodybuilders using steroids should be taking this health medications! In this video, I highlight important pathways in the body that lead to negative health effects from steroids. We discuss what effects steroids can have on health (this includes the heart, kidneys and blood pressure). Then we come up with possible ways to combat these side effects. We also take a look at the logic behind using meds like Telmisartan and Nebivolol.
The study from which a lot of my information is drawn is: pubmed.ncbi.nl...

The best ace inhibitor is perindopril. I've looked at all of the data and it has the least side effects for the AI's, while also being lipophilic, long lasting and potentiating dopaminergic neurotransmission. People in the BB industry need to realize that the others are simply worse. Just like Telmisartan is the best ARB due to it's molecular targets. Great summary!
@Kovalser

Azilsartin is actually the best ARB

Nicholas, when we mention Aspirin I think it's very important to also mention that since it's NSAID, it's bad for GI and can lead to stomach ulcers. It's a non-selective COX inhibitor. Selective COX-2 inhibitors (celebrex, etoricoxib, etc.) are easier on the stomach, but not completely harmless (like reducing the risk of stomach ulcers by 30-50% compared to non-selective NSAIDs, off the top of my head). I got 2 stomach ulcers after I started taking non-selective NSAIDs daily for my chronic arthritis pain (it took months, but still). One way to reduce the bad effect of NSAIDs on the stomach is to reduce the amount of acid in the stomach with something like Pantoprazole, but again, it will not solve the issue completely, but just reduce the bad effect. So if someone does have GI issues (gastritis) or has a history of ulcers/stomach cancer in the family, I'd be very careful with Aspirin.

The difference here is dosage. 40mg usually does not lead to stomach issues.

For TRT users that don’t necessarily have a hypertension diagnosis, what about the use of natural nitric oxide boosters such as L Citrulline?
@NicholasDowney
@NicholasDowney Жыл бұрын
I’m sure that could assist with blood pressure, if it is true TRT then there shouldn’t be issues with angiotensin 2 levels and such

By saying that testosterone stimulates RAA system you generally meant androgens ? I mean for example I’m currently running a cycle on small amount of test 250, but on the other hand I run 500 eq and 50 turinabol ed and my BP drastically went up. While running test alone I didn’t notice any BP changes. I’m really considering arbs meds cause nothing helps including cardio, healthy diet, supplements, water. Again great video doc

There really isn’t much of a guide line at this point, my thought process leads to using ARBs if doses are higher than typical TRT. But there’s no science to support this currently

Amazing information, I am glad we have doctors spreading awareness on damage reduction when it comes to steroids usage, instead of plainly condoning it. On that note: Doc, could you make a video on using DHT derivatives as aromatase inhibitors? DHT appears to decrease estrogen-induced RNA transcription and I was wondering if that is true for DHT derivatives. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6645492/
