Glad to hear you talking about this content. We love seeing your photos, hearing some how to, and some latest gear talk on occasion, not so much the KZbin photo channel politics. Great video V.

If I point my camera and hear a click and there’s a picture.. photography is still alive! Thank you so much for your content! Wish I lived near you I would love to hang out. Totally into classic rock and and newer to photography. I started about 3 years ago learning from KZbin and feeling like I HAVE to use this camera or that lens etc.. now I watch for inspiration and photos that capture the heart and imagination. Don’t care what’s in the camera bag. It’s not my camera bag. Not my budget not my story. Again thank you for what you do!

From now onwards I will be watching music video to see what brand of microphone the singers use and only buy that one so I can sound great! - You make a very good point there.

Once again, you are on point. Sure, you need the right tool to do a job, but that doesn't mean you need the most expensive gear on there. I have been a working professional for thirty years (Yes, I am old!), and I have never owned a "FLAGSHIP" camera. As Ansel Adams said, "The most important tool I have is my eyes."

You are right V . I graduated from a photography school in 1990. One of the most important lesson was called “ Eye of the Photographer “ I always used what I have learned to take the photos you speak of. 👍 Keep up the excellent work 🇺🇸

I'm so sick of the gear talk, I go out as much as I can with my 5-year-old camera and a kit lens to shoot street photography, it's a blast and I'm shooting at 5. 6. 6 or f8 for most of the shots. Just enjoying photography ✌️

My favorite photographers on YT focus more on the art of photography and less on the gear. When I'm shooting with others, oddly, when never really talk about gear but more about the art of photography.

Speak on, brother in photography. I love the point about the film camera guys. I spent years shooting film from 70s on. Yes, 1 frame per second was about as good as it got. Timing was so important to get the shot. And a little luck thrown in helps. I shot many photos back in the day, had a great time and got a lot of good photos. My friends also shot film. While overseas I got the Nikon F2, my friend got his Canon F1. We went out and shot pictures of the local environment, the people, etc. We went to Corregidor in the Philippines and Toky, Japan. We went to Santa Cruz in California, we went everywhere. No talk about camera and buying lenses till our bank account dried up. We just shot thousands and thousands of frames of color and B&W film.

Hi. First things first. Just watched your latest video on the art of photography and you are right people just think on the equipment and not the main focus of getting The picture . You could the most expensive lens and camera in the world, but if you don’t know how to use them they are useless. Let’s get back into Italian the story behind a picture instead of comparing lenses and cameras most of these so cold photographers on KZbin, we all know who they are probably couldn’t take a decent picture if they tried. Everybody and got an opinion on cameras and lenses good opinions are like assholes anybody’s got one and the stink. And by the way, you proved a point with the pictures you was showing with the wedding which are very good pictures by the way. Let’s get back to the story telling instead of the equipment. Once again, great video.

Brother, Please take care of your health! Lots of Love towards you man, I have been there. On the note of equipment, I totally agree with you, its about capturing the image. The gear is only as good as the photographer who uses it to his advantage to create his vision of the image being captured!

I‘m still on viewfinder cameras (D850, D780) and will never change to mirrorless, because the fun, quality and information of a viewfinder is unbeatable ❤

V 1st off the lights and background blur behind you in this one is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! 2nd I'm more than a little bit put off by the way AI has changed photography that and processing. every image is so over done. To my eye all I see is processing in every shot. Hey your brides were great! What a relief to see that they weren't standing on a cliff with the storms clouds rolling in and a beam of light hitting them perfectly and the birds circling around them, at the break of day like in AI. Hey good to see you back too!

I used to be a journeyman painter and was very good at my craft. But without the proper training and years of practice, the paint brush and rollers are useless.

Ansel Adams carried 60lbs. of camera gear all over Yellow Stone and represented pure photographic excellence to this day... This is what's vastly missing in todays photographers belief for the most part. Gear is way beyond what we'll ever need in my opinion... Sk-

When you eat a delicious meal! Do you ask the chef what brand oven he used? Then why does everyone ask a photographer? Wow what kind of camera did you use? That’s amazing.

I’ve never used a Nikon or Pentax or Sony DSLR… if I was a guest at a wedding and someone said the photographer hasn’t turned up but uncle Barry has a DSLR and a couple of lenses at his house five minutes away I’m confident to take great professional pictures.
@gd70Ай бұрын
Right. For example. When the Z9 was released I saw a video of one of the big Nikon pro comercial and wedding guys saying something like: now i can capture this photo, that shot, etc… really? How about the amazing shots the greatest photographers took in all photography genres the past 50, 60, 70, 100 years with box cameras, wet plates, old first Leicas, Nikons F, F3s, F6, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D850, Canons of all types, Olympus OM series, point and shoots, even polaroids! And thousands of great professional results. But now, with the Z9, is the only time you can really take this or that photograph! Give me a f***** break! For me this kind of stuff doesn’t help selling cameras. It’s just annoying and treating the customer an idiot.

I'm so sick of all the photography realm KZbinrs who obsess about gear and feed people's GAS, outside of the context of how it affects the aspects you touch on here. I have always had the best camera I can afford at the time (which right now is a Z8 and D850), but I've had the best time lately playing around with a D80 from 2006 I got for 69 (no joke) bucks. And I will also never leave film and shoot film as much as possible. The vocalist comparison is perfect. Sure, a Neumann is great, but put a talented singer on an SM58 and you're golden.
