I am SOOOOOOOOO glad that you're making Z32 content with the VG! I like 2J's, RB's, SR's, and K series, but a VG belongs in the Z32!👍 VG's are much greater than people realize!

I enjoy your videos brother. Cool to see someone breaking the mold and going above and beyond with the VG30 and the Z32 chassis.

Thanks for another great vid - I always wondered about the trigger kit but haven't yet reached the point where I need one. Really appreciated you explaining how it works!

Looking good! Thrilled to see the power steering arrangement. Any ideas on how to simplify/modernize the ac system? I always thought there must be smart solutions for the ac. Keep up the good work!
@Billy_Built Жыл бұрын
I have a couple different ideas for the AC system. Merlin Machining had something in the works as well. It's only a matter of time. The factory AC setup is outdated and can be updated with a way more efficient compressor/condensor at the least.

Good info. I can't remember the last time I saw a Nissan on the road that wasn't a Rogue. Now I understand why

Agreed Billy, working on your own car is fun, gets your brain going and you learn order of operations when building a VG. Things have to go on in a certain order. I really want a haltech on my Z. This was a great video.

I am interested on seeing the power steering setup considering the OEM is notorious to leaking! Can’t wait to see what you do.

Billy, make a list of what you need for a quick vgtt build. Or like a budget series 3k/5k/10k

Not a bad idea. There's so many routes that you can go though.

The difference between a 12-1, 24-2, and a 36-1 trigger is the resolution. You have way higher resolution on a 36-1 than you do on a 12-1 with a 24-2 being a halfway point. The only downside to having the highest available resolution is that when the engine spins really fast (11K+), it's possible for the signal to skip teeth, which could cause the ignition signal to break up.

Awesome car!!!!! Where can I get a rear spoiler like the one you have installed?

How do I test my cas with a multimeter
@Lowfategg9 ай бұрын
Fun fact, the OBD2 96+ models added a crank sensor to the flywheel using trans bell housing.
@Billy_Built9 ай бұрын
I never knew that! Interesting!
@Lowfategg9 ай бұрын
@@Billy_Built If you have the 99spec trans you can do this for cheap/OEM+. Use the outer low resolution ring on CAS to get cam home position and use the crank sensor for RPM.

Would you recommend the SZ cam trigger kit for a 600hp street car running Platinum Pro? I've been trying to decide for days.
@Billy_Built Жыл бұрын
I would say it's definitely better than the factory one. The only problem I see with it is that it is ran off of the camshaft rather than the crankshaft.
@DavenWard-e1e Жыл бұрын
Did you have any trouble getting the cam sync to work on the Haltech?
@Billy_Built Жыл бұрын
Just did it today actually. should be up in an upcoming video. Wasn't too bad

@@Billy_BuiltI set mine up in the Haltech’s elite 2500 and it is only picking up crank signal and not cam

While there's some truth to the new sensors being more accurate, the OEM cam sensors still work very well with standard and some high HP Skylines. Most Japanese still use the OEM sensor. So don't get caught up in the sales marketing of new products.
@Billy_Built9 ай бұрын
for sure! it's all basically the same sensor and there's plenty of people making 700+ to the wheels with the factory CAS!
