This is a detailed walk through on how to set up multiecuscan properly so that you can connect using a windows laptop and ELM327 cable to your Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio.
This shows in detail how to complete a proxy alignment and what settings to change to not time out.

@Alfamods YOU'RE THE MAN!! I've had my Stelvio for almost three years now. Have learned to just live with some of the warnings (including odo. flashing because of changing the entertainment control knob), warning lights that come on because I do my own oil changes, etc etc. I just refuse to fork over the money for the dealership to reset these things. Your video motivated me to finally just make the investment and get all the proper tools to reset things at home. Including purchasing MES. Thanks for the detailed walk through. Hey there - great channel, love the content. If you don’t mind, I have a question about this topic. My Giulia 2020 Ti Sport mirrors are not unfolding automatically anymore. This happened after I got a new BCM replacement installed by my dealer (long story) as an attempt to solve a problem with my interior and puddle lights not coming on. Back to the mirrors - I went back to the dealer and they “reflashed” and “reset” everything but it didn’t fix. I have yet to schedule another visit to the dealer - which btw is my main pain point about owing an Alfa. I am wondering if the auto unfolding of the side mirrors is an option that can be modified via multiecuscan, do you happen to know that?

Hey thanx for your videos im just starting to learn the alfas, i bought mine cause me and my son loved the look but we are just now finding out how expensive it is for any little thing that it needs so were really looking into learning what we can do ourselves, so we really appreciate ur videos and we will definitely use ur links to buy any cables u recommend, but for this software is it only for windows laptops or can we use Mac? Thanks for watching! Well my advice is to just go on Amazon and get a cheap windows laptop that is dedicated for tuning and multiecuscan. You can but it’s not an easy process because they don’t have a version for Mac. If you ever need one on one help I do that as well for donation . Just email me at [e-mail]

Do you know of a adjustment that can quiet the interior chimes. It seems its louder when the radio volume was left a little louder at turn off. But the chimes are over powered.

@alfamods2.0T will I need a SGW bypass too? Some videos show people taking the speedo cluster out to install a bypass. I took my pads off, found they were fine and put the back on so there *shouldn't* be any actual codes. Ordered the OBD Link, adapter cables and MES. Not sure if I can clear everything with those 3 or need the SGW?

My proxy alignment fails to execute. Every time I connect the gray cable it gives me a timed-out error. I tried these settings, different speeds, and latency, and it doesn't work. My parking sensors are not working and the odometer is flashing. Dont know what to do. Help please

When I'm in device manager trying to go into advanced settings, it's a completely different menu for me. I can't change the latency time.

Latency timer setting should be set to 1.

I’ve done maybe 30 or so proxy alignments with my settings, sure I recommend 1, but it doesn’t hurt anything where my current settings are at. It’s different based on your hardware and settings I’ve timed out at 1 as well so not always.

Well I should have it in a few weeks. You need a retrofit harness but other than that it’s plug and play. Harness isn’t cheap either. All functions work but no matrix just high low turn signal.

It will auto recalibrate after proxy alignment is done. If the module is new it will set the new vin in.

hello I need to make a proxy alignment in my stelvio has Ive substituted some parts and now the odometer is flashing. I was able to look for alarms with a small android ELM327 wifi solution that just not show or allow to make this alignment. Im not in US, but in europe what should I buy in termos of: ODB2 TOOL (Ive an android small ELM327 set)? + WHAT CABLES? and SOFTWARE?....? capable to do a 2018 Stelvio proxi alignment? thanks

I would never do wireless. Wired connections only OBD SX is what I use and recommend. You need the adapters as well. Download the program on a laptop and you should be running for about 150 usd. I’m going to be selling a wired kit soon enough. OBD link MX+ is the only wireless one you can use still has to be used with multiecuscan or alfaob

Hello, i have a 2021 Guilia. Do i need the blue and gray cable to do an oil life reset? Also i tried to look for the blue and gray cable on your amazon hyper link and it said it's unavailable. Also where can i get the multiecuscan? Do i have to pay for a subscription?

Have my own stock now if the blue and grey can 30 plus 5 shipping. You don’t need them for just the maintenance reset. Oil reset you just push the pedal 6 times fast while the door is closed or use Multiecuscan. No subscription it’s 50 Euros 1 time fee. @@polandsprings21 Race mode no it’s harder for them to blame something on that Squadra is a bit different I mean you can’t expect them to cover a turbo for example when your tuned. If you get a bench tune (send yours in) it’s not detectable, if you flash it your self the dealer can see it in the counters.

Hey, NOT Alfamods here, but I just went through this entire process this past weekend. I tried at first with the free version, and it did not work. You'll notice the free version, many of the sub items are in red. When in red, those functions are not useable. When you purchase the full version, those items turn blue, and are now useable. Bought mine directly off of MES website for 50 euros. Not much more in us $$.

My Stelvio had not paddle shifter originally, recently I fitted with it, but it requires some programming, can I do it with that Cable?

Yes absolutely you need the program and all 3 cables the red blue and grey. You just enable them in the program and do a proxy alignment just like in the video

Yeah if your car has the sgw. I have a 2018 Giulia QV which needed the bypass for the valve controller
