Honestly I think a routine wipe is ideal. It works well for Tarkov and yes this is a casual game but it helps the economy too. Plus for those who are rich and have all upgrades done, everything besides ranks is pretty much pointless. Restarting gives you stuff to do again. Sort of like Prestige in other popular games.

Excellent video. The problem is that the drop rate of these HeLa antibodies are wayy too low for us to collect in a span of 75 days. I've played about 8 games because I had deleted it before and then i reinstalled it and I did not get a SINGLE HeLa antibody out of those games which is quite unfair. The developers need to increase the drop rate of them or losing our progress is inevitable.

I'm pretty sure the devs don't want us reaching this goal. Plus the quests don't last forever. They need the wipe. They probably see it as less work for them instead of coming up with new stuff. They disguise it so the fault is us not working together and not them.

In Europe it’s even worse we are now just past 10%… the two serum mechanic seems kinda poorly designed with the small playerbase the game currently has. You can’t expect a small playerbase consisting of mostly casual players to lift the weight of a large base of more dedicated players required for this to work. Plus; in each scenario what exactly resets in regard to both serums? Is it a level + cash + skill reset on the personal one or just cash and level, does the name reset too or does cash belong to the bunker resetting… no body knows due to poor explanation.

I think it is a balancing issue. I've played about 50+ runs(not a single marauder run) and only found about three antibodies across both the accounts I play on. Its kinda unfair, especially if you spend money on the companion +. I get that it keeps the game fresh, but that can be solved with balanced match making and if you want a challange, you could always make a new account or start a new game. I also have a job so I only get to play a few a day and some days I play console or other games with my friends, so I am not really looking forward to the wipe. It does seem interesting as a concept but so far the execution is not really that good, especially the drop rates of the antibodies.

If I'm honest I would be sad, but mainly for the fact that the friend I play with spent a bit of money on the companion +, he did it mainly for the extra storage boxes that's come in clutch early game. I was considering it too, and would have most likely purchased it if I didn't see your video. I hope they give rebates if the game wipes otherwise my friend would almost certainly quit playing due to the fact that the money he spent on the c+ would only give a handful of cosmetics that caries over. You're being way too optimistic for a few reasons. 1. The most important one is this is "NetEase" we are relying on. 2. The player base may not be big enough to handle this. 3. The drop rates are extremely low, I've been playing quite a lot for a whole week and I've only gotten 3 or 4 of those antibodies. This is basically an impossible task made so that players are threatened to play & pay, or lose everything, which will end up in the same result anyway.

If you don't get enough then your level will be wiped. I recommend keeping an eye out for the events they do. You'll often get one as a reward for completing them. The valentines and halloween event they did a few months back for instance.

Yeah it did. The wipe was a nice fresh start. Wipes aren't a bad thing and I do prefer them in games like these where you only get stronger the more you plan until you hit a plateau. However they said they wouldn't do more wipes which is what most of the player base is expecting.

If your starting to hate this game then don't panic a new game called "Arena Breakout" will be coming out soon, and it doesn't have this dumb antibody system. You can keep playing as long as you want plus the guns are more available for cutomization you don't have to find them in the extraction zone to unlock them they already are. You can also get them in the black market or on other players you kill. This game is gonna kill Lost Light.

The drop rate is absolutely abysmal. I have over 200 hours in the game already (280, some before official launch, ~100 mission hours but idk how accurate that is) and I've only found 8 or so and I've ONLY found them on marauder bodies, never in a container. I do think it is balanced around the player base as the NA server only needs to collect 400,000; however we at 6.5% as of yesterday. I think most people don't realize the importance of these items. They see a purple 2 slot item that sells for 20k and they don't realize you have to turn them in and they give you a reward in the mail for doing so. This mechanic isn't properly communicated; so I very much appreciate this video for spreading awareness. I'm suspecting that the intention is to give an impossible goal though. I don't think we can hit the goal in time on purpose so we are forced to wipe. Wipes aren't bad; and having a fake mechanic to beat the wipe keeps people invested. It's a carrot on the stick, but you can never get the carrot. While I think it would be very cool to "prestige" and be this bad ass veteran firefly that collected all the serum and beat the wipe; I think it would be unfair and bad for the playerbase. It would be pretty crushing for a new player to get mowed down by a player wearing full T6 and a meta hammer/car-58 on day one. It would lead to a lot of players quitting. That being said, I'm definitely going to work towards the anti-bodies and getting my serums because I love this game; but I won't mind if it wipes regardless.

Abysmal is the right word. I’m far from the same hours as you but I’m lvl 26 now and I’ve found 3 or 4. Both in containers and on marauders. I didn’t know the percentage was region based. I thought it was worldwide. It’s good they at least balanced it that way but it does feel like a fake carrot on a stick like you mentioned. They should at least give us a chance. I’m also don’t with wiping! A fresh start is healthy for these kinds of games where you only get stronger the more you play.

@@blackphantom3534 If the outbreak timer ends (Meaning It's Wipe time) All account will be reseted, meaning every gun or armor or anything you own even your level and shelter upgrades will be back to zero but not if the Serum count reaches 100%....BUT You should collect the TARGETED SERUM too to further secure your account from being reseted.

I love this concept but I know it's not going to last. The idea is to keep player retention through updates, a knock off mobile port tarkov won't last (especially as a f2p game) when it takes the EXACT same routes as tarkov while still building up its world. Tarkov still is, and likely will always be the objectionably better option between the two, though that's not to say lost light can't compete... But to compete, must keep player count, and making people lose their gear constantly when the player base in undoubtly more casual than tarkov... will likely make them leave the game (especially if they do p2w features).

There's no one place. They have a very small chance of spawning anywhere. They also give them away in events sometimes or you can buy from the black market.

This antibodies drop rate is soo damn low, I'm new player, just playing for 2 week and I just found 1 shit antibodies.. player wipe is ok but shelter wipe is worst.. player base will decrease significantly if they know about this wipe

@@PusenGaming it's during mission or raids, one of the bot enemies are in them, it's like a syringe thing. Sometimes, randomly in containers scattered all over the map. Very rare to find.
