My dad does US Army combatives, was a drill Sargent, field artillery, and still going on 24yrs. We work out together a lot. So I’m a lean 10% body fat 5’3” kid on a 165(+/-) lean man and this worked. My coaches constantly put me up against heavier dudes by about 20lbs so this helps tremendously

Crazy technique, very cool. Wish I learned this back in high school! :)

Freakin technical as fAAck! I like it. Where’d you wrestle?
@wakeywakey42895 жыл бұрын
I like this much better grabbing with the hand instead trying to slide by using the back of the hand.

1. Do you have to start from the double overhooks or can you proceed from a standard FHL position? 2. How do you handle your opponent circling his hips away as you work behind?
@JasonLayton2 ай бұрын
Avoid going to the front headlock, as it gives your opponent an opportunity to grab your triceps in an effective way. Circling the hips away is normal, but there are a lot of different ways they might move, so it's difficult to describe. I go over all of the common responses in my videos.

I went back and watched a video where my son was having a hard time getting around on this kid where he was using the arm block. A few times this happened and my boy couldn't score. I see now where his head was to high and not on the other side so he was losing control.

What's the name of the shoes he's wearing? (guy on left)
@JasonLayton8 жыл бұрын
Damian Ilescas the USA colored shoes are called the asics combat speeds. I think they are the best wrestling shoe. They do the job and are inexpensive.
