What I gathered from your video was. 1. Depending on the rope length. We'll have to adjust the technique to adapt to the length. 2. The placement of the hand. Width, height, left- right balance or front / back affects how the rope hits the ground n under the feet. 3. The key is to practice to be consistent or adapt based on rope length. 4. So if I'm a beginner or want to stick to only a certain technique. I can either buy a cheaper rope n practice my technique first before I get my cross rope. Or I can just buy a longer cross rope. I tried today n paid attention to the form of my rope. And where it strikes the ground n how it cross under my feet. Keeping it consistent. It feels so much better. So much easier to keep going without getting tired. I used to think it's the rope problem or it's just too short. Causing the tripping. Your sizing video teaches more about jump type technique than many videos. I'll be getting my cross rope soon. Thank you.

Im 5'4 took Crossrope's advice and bought the small size rope..turned out to be a bit short for me...medium size is just right 👍🏻 As a general advice: if youre between sizes, always buy the longer rope..you can tie a knot in a long rope, but you cant make a short rope longer...learned that the hard way 🤷🏻♂️

Came here after receiving my 1st order from Crossrope. Im 6'1" and the recommended (L) large 9ft rope is WAY too long. I haven't jumped rope in 20 years but already I can't approach anything close to good form with this length. Really wish I'd taken exact measurements rather than following the sizing range (which I was at the upper edge of already for L, bordering on XL!) and being disappointed after 2 weeks shipping wait.

I found this video very informative. Thanks. It seems a lot of people don’t like the idea of investing just over 13 mins in the concept of jump rump sizing and presumably after doing so they still don’t understand... if you are a beginner just starting out follow the size chart. As a general rule the more proficient you are the shorter your rope should be (a shorter rope is faster and more efficient however you have much less margin for error) so typically I’m 5.11-6FT tall and I use a size S for the heavier ropes DUs and fast speed sessions and a size M (1/4 Lb and 1/2 LB) for general fitness which would include some freestyle. I also have 9ft long handled 4mm PVC and 5mm short handled ropes which I use exclusively for freestyle. (I can tweek them by tying knots in them). So like he says in the video there is no one size does all just depends what your doing with the rope and how proficient you are.

Very happy with my crossrope, but I have a question. I am 5'11''. I went with the chart and got the Large (6') Get Strong set. I find when I put a knot in the rope it shortens to 8' 2'' and I find it much easier and much more stable to jump (I am not a beginner). At full length, the 1lb rope is harder to control, I'm less stable and have to work hard to keep control. Is the full length a better work out because it is harder to control? Is shortening the rope just an easier way to go faster? You say that it is 'more efficient', which suggests you use less energy, or are their physical benefits to having a shorter rope? I'm wondering if I need the medium (8' 6'').

Med will be fine I am 5'11" and switched from large to Med. if I was trying for speed on double unders, I might even try small. Still a novice so I will stick with my mediums for now. Shorter ropes require good form. Longer ropes give more rope for crosses and other moves.

Just an update, I was only 3 inches shorter with my speed rope than my cross rope. With a bit of practice, I’m comfortable with the large size. Either way, they have a 60 day money back guarantee so I’d pull the trigger on one and give it a week of practice before you make a decision about changing rope size. I think I could use the medium or large and I bet I’d be happy with either one. Honestly try it for a week and you will be amazed at how much better you feel. Tie a knot in the rope.

I found out they come in XS. If you contact them you can ask for an exchange.

Hi Mate, can I cut the rope if I want to make adjustment? I'm 5"5 and will be buying M but incase I find it too long, can I shorten it and put the attachment back?
@xoxoro55214 жыл бұрын
No, you cannot adjust these ropes. You should buy the correct size. If the rope is the wrong size you should exchange it for the correct size
@israelruelas57564 жыл бұрын
Medium should be fine. I’m 5’5 as well and I feel medium is great, not too long, not too short
@MystiqueRoz4 жыл бұрын
@mjojr jr I’m also 5’5” but from some of the comments I feel like I should get the S. Which size did you end up getting and how is it working for you?

@@MystiqueRoz hi, I ended up buying M and leave it as it is. Very Slightly longer but gives me more chance to do tricks... Hope that helps 😊

@MystiqueRoz4 жыл бұрын
Lola Manny Depends which rope you are referring to. There’s the Lean Set with 1/4 lbs (green) & 1/2 lbs (white) and Strong Set 1 lb (grey) & 2 lbs (black). All the info is at Crossrope.com

One question I have is the sizing chart when you order rope length at cross rope, alot of people are sending back for shorter, also putting knots in, which cannot be good for cables?
@Crossrope6 жыл бұрын
You can put knots in your ropes so long as you remove them after use. This should not cause any long term damage.
@anthonyclaudio11895 жыл бұрын
Can the length be adjusted on the 1lb or any of the ropes?
@Crossrope5 жыл бұрын
The rope length is not adjustable. We offer them in set lengths based on your height
@thecryptopredictionboy Жыл бұрын
@@Crossrope maybe in the future you will offer that, otherwise, the other 1,2 companies which are very good too will take a lot of customers from crossropes...that's a thing I always hear, that crossrope is one of the best, but they are not so competative any more to everjump for example because of this problem...

Helpful video , but I cant surely size my speedrope :( and cuz I want to cut it , i dont know where to cut
@Jump15official5 жыл бұрын
less is more! get it to the general armpit/ upper chest level and then gradually shorten from there. test before cutting because you can't put it back together. note: there will be a new getting used to the new length period and more tripping will be expected. the shorter the rope the less room for error, but you will adjust with practice.

I really didn't know jumping rope was so hard for some people. As a kid I had what was available too long too short never mattered I just jumped faster or slower depending on the length. I didnt even know you could change the length of a jump rope.
