I've become a bit of a Flywoo fan. I bought their 1.6 Baby Quad last year and gor a Cinerace20 Pro for Father's Day. These little drones punch so far above their weight and get great battery life 4-8 mins on 450/550's depending on how I fly. I did have to replace the frame on my Baby Quad after too many crashes (broke an arm) but I love both of them and you can fly them literally everywhere. I fly them both in the house too. Analog/Crossfire on both.

I've got the CineRace20 too. It's also a great quad but I think the Venom might do even better in terms of flight perfromance thanks to the extra power/authority. Particularly with the extra weight of a Naked GP.

@@ChrisRosser I went ahead and took the plunge and after a week this thing is amazing! In fact my only crash (more of a forced landing) was having too much fun and not watching my battery voltage. Thank you for the review and I truly believe with all the new regs, people are going to start picking up these high performing sub 250 drones.

Ty for the review. Great info.Ive been on the fence about buyimg 1 for a while. Im curious about the esc being rated at 13amps . Is that rating per motor or total? Seems low. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Hey Chris, I just ordered one of these based on your review, because I put alot of stock in your opinions. I need to use it for an inside flight job with my gopro bones on and was just wondering if you had tuned this quad at all yourself yet? looking to make it as stable as possible at slower speeds.

Hi Mate, I appreciate Your content. I have a question regarding video noises. Is it true that if it comes to cables from DVR camera, only signal cable and gnd (without red power cable) should be twisted? If I have all cbles twisted together, are noises bigger?

Yeah this thing looks really impressive. I previously had their Firefly Nano hex with the 40 mm props on 4s, and was also really impressed at how well it flew. Unfortunately I live on the Prairies and there aren't very many trees or gaps to shoot, so I ended up unloading it as it didn't get into the rotation as much as my 5 incher's or small racing quads. This looks like a top Contender though if I needed to get shots like this with a naked gopro. Great review Chris, hope to see you do more of them. 👍

Yeah, I definitely think the 6 smaller props helps with stability and authority vs 4 larger props.

Hi Chris, what sort of throttle position was you at when you did the test flight - was 50% throttle needed for steady cruising or is there alot more head room? I fly the GEPRC smart 35 which ive had to throttle limit as the power to weight ratio was off the scale (with a naked go pro and 4d 750mah) but was looking at getting one of these to replace my smart35

@crash_lander2 жыл бұрын
I don’t agree it can in anyway compare to a cine whoop.
@ChrisRosser2 жыл бұрын
That was my feeling too. It's much less draggy than a Cinewhoop and has open props. Better for faster flight and shooting teeny tiny gaps that a 3" Cinewhoop couldn't fit through.

Hey Chris mate - off topic but I’m in the U.K. and your Italian frame supplier doesn’t have your new 5” LR DC frame in stock and I’m gutted 😞 I don’t want to use a different frame 😢 Does your US shop ship to the U.K. without the postage costing as much as the frame? I REALLY want one so bad so I’ll pay the extra if I’ve no other choice but obviously that’s not ideal 😅 Thanks in advance to any reply 🙏🙏🙏

Nice review ! Im looking for maximum power and speed under 250g with à naked gopro, do you think this is the best option or a 3 or 3.5 inch quad would be better ?
@bugsy7422 жыл бұрын
Mate I bought their last two models and honestly they struggled with a Caddx Peanut! Motors SCREAMING and flight characteristics like a flying cow! Horrible! Use a Babyhawk 2 bro, you’ll break this first crash guaranteed! I will say that I trust chris on everything so I suppose if cash isn’t a problem then go for it, I personally am thinking about getting one for fun but not a cats chance in hell I’m putting an action cam on it! 😱😅👍
@ChrisRosser2 жыл бұрын
For max power and speed under 250g with a naked go pro I would go with a 3" open prop or the Venom. The Venom definitely has a lot more power than Flywoos previous models.

i'm surprised it could carry a hero9 that well. pretty cool drone. just some tips for your gopro footage, try turning sharpness to low, wide lens 4k30 fps high bitrate, and lock white balance at 5500k, it will look super cinematic

A little Bit of Wobbles and Bobbles? A lot of them! I never buy a Copter what cannot fly without Wobbles. It's also no consolation that you can stabilize videos. If the source video is bad, the stabilization will never be good.
@ChrisRosser2 жыл бұрын
The Venom performs exceedingly well compared to similarly sized/weight micros in this area but the laws of physics prevent it from being as smooth as larger rigs. However, it can gets shots larger rigs simply can't. I think with stabilisation in post the footage could be quite acceptable even for some professional applications. If you need to get those shots then the Venom might outdo a typical 2.5" cinewhoop in terms of stability. It's the right tool for the right application!
