My girlfriend and I were just talking about this, and being older we have seen these trends recycle over and over, then they run out of terms for them and "Dazzling "Featherweight" "Dewy" are some we laughed about. Specifically the year in the 90s "Bedazzled Eyes" were the "hot trend" when you just know rhinestone manufacturers paid off the Bedazzled & cosmetics people to push their product.

My Fiancé's dad is a volunteer fireman! He got in after 9/11 because he was so moved by the first responders there. He has many stories but the one he told me he's the most proud of is the first time he administered Narcan to someone who had overdosed. They live in a small town so he sees this person occasionally and they have been in recovery since that incident. Even since he retired last year he's still a volunteer. It's a real passion he has for his community and he is so incredibly empathetic to anyone he's served. Volunteer first responders hold our society together and they truly are saints.

Johnny, I got that Beauty Blender foundation because of your rec a few weeks ago (also the Hourglass powder because of you lol) and it’s MAGICAL. Best foundation I’ve ever used. BTW, my favorite Pixar movie is UP. Y’all gotta give respect to UP! Also Re: the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3, my son was 7 I think and I was worried it might scare him. He turns to me and his Dad with pure glee on his face and says, “What if they just catch fire and die?” He just gave a little evil giggle. Yes, my son is a demon. But he’s MY demon. 😂

As someone who is a natural blonde and has VERY light hair on my body, including brows I just can’t with the bleached brow look. I’m happy to see all these things I was made fun of (light eyebrows, freckles) are suddenly popular but mentally I just can’t. 😂😂 my whole life I’ve been teased for these things and I don’t think I’m brave enough to try. Although I’m glad my natural freckles can shine. 😊 also same for my oily skin. It’s GONNA BE DEWY anyway so I’m not buying dewy products. I’d be a HOT MESS. 😂

As someone with hooded eyes I actually love the in between of satin finishes instead of always having glittery shimmers. I wish there were in more palettes. Instead it’s just mattes and glitters. Completely agree with you guys about The NYX Barbie collab. It’s horrible and such a missed opportunity. Those colors don’t scream Barbie at all.

I'm definitely going to try the method Johnny explained for skin tints over concealer, because I've been scared of tints until now with textured skin. I would Love to hear your advice on how to apply (and reapply) spf over makeup one day please. It's only recently that we've got spfs suitable for dark skin, but often they don't sit well under makeup. I look forward to the podcast every Sunday. Much love from India

I think it's fair to say this podcast is great - I have zero clue in makeup. Totally clueless and on a good 'date night' look, will have on both eyeliner and lipstick. Hi! Love the podcast! I live in a medium small town and short distance from me is a volunteer fire department. The area they serve is unincorporated and doesn’t have any city/town council or mayor so they volunteer! They also get called in for neighboring fire calls if they need help or another truck, as they are between to larger incorporated communities! ☺️

As someone from a small town, I laughed at your discussion about volunteer first responders. So clear you two are city boys! I grew up in a town of 1,500 people. Our fire and rescue personnel were all volunteers. When they get a call once or twice a week, having full-time responders is just not necessary. They do receive an amount per call to which they respond, but it's negligible. Living rurally, we are used to contributing to the community where service gaps appear, most especially when first responders are needed.

I use taupe brow gel because my skin and eyes are light. Hair is medium brown, natural brows are medium to dark brown. So yep...I go lighter brows to blend with skin tone and eyes, not my hair.
