They are, I worked at Nantucket Marine back in 06. Their demo for them was to cut the bow off with a chain saw and roam around the harbor without getting on plane. It was pretty wild and pretty much guaranteed a sale.

Flats fishing with a sluggo on a jig is very reminiscent to what you were doing with that shrimp pattern. Stripers dive after anything that creates that little puff of sand. Flats up here have tons of sand eels. Try out Barnstable harbor or the Brewster flats!

John you need to start throwing unweighted Sluggos for those fish on the flats also.What a blast..I sure you have been told but a white bucktail and trailer like the 5” gulp jerk shads are the go to for any noreast bass fisherman in almost any conditions with just an adjustment in weight for tide and depth.Albies are by far the most fun and challenging fish to catch this time of the year.Gotta get a slam of Albie/bass/bluefish same day if possible.Heard you mentioned you liked the Regulator,awesome boat,could see you moving up to a 21’-23’ soon!

Pick up a U.S. Coast Guard Safety Check List and equip your boat accordingly. It will save you trouble in the future. Also check local regulations regarding your new Marine band radio. You may be required to have the radio on and monitoring Channel 16 when on the water. You do a great job. Thank you for the work.

These guys use light drag, you wouldn't fish for these with snapper drag as they won't ever reef you, light drag setting is the way for these fish

In my experience they pull harder (pound for pound) than any other fish I've caught. For example a 10kg Mactuna will pull a 10kg yellow fin tuna backwards.
