The clippers were surprisingly competitive in the playoffs the season before the trades, and they added Kawhi, who had just won a finals MVP in Toronto, and PG, who was straight up an MVP candidate in OKC. The Kawhi news was not really new news since it was known he wouldn't play opening night. Until he starts practicing, no one knows how his knee will respond and when he'll be able to scrimmage and then play in real games. Rockets will likely also be a play in team and I think they’ll upend the Lakers/Suns to get the 8 seed from the 10 seed. The Thunder own the 2027 pick in a swap and 28/29 is Philly’s with 29’ being a swap. I agree with Am.hoops that rear healthy Kawhi is a best player. It still is possible that he might have healthy post season and whatever might happen... I miss Westbrook with Kawhi but Harden kind of took his place and slowed the tempo. Russell couldn't be as aggressive which is his thing. Interesting will Westbrook find a role with Nuggets.
