The Clippers basically traded for a prime 3-year window at winning a title with these guys. They choked in the bubble, had a nice playoff run the second year until Kawhi tore his ACL, and that ACL injury ended the 3rd year before it started. They could have perhaps traded PG and Kawhi after that, the problem is you end up with a bunch of late 1sts from some other team which doesn't really solve their problem of not controlling their own picks. C'est La Vie...

This is what happens now when a team has a really big-spending owner who isn't a basketball genius but decides, "i just wanna win!" Now that the other, more "frugal" owners voted in the apron penalties, well.... The big spenders get frozen in their tracks lol! 2nd apron locks you out from making moves you'll likely need later, so they have to find some - make that "any" - way to avoid it. Happened with Balmer in LA and Ishbia in Phoenix. It's basically the majority of NBA owners putting major restrictions on the richest to prevent Yankees type of dominance.

The Thunder own the 2027 pick in a swap and 28/29 is Philly’s with 29’ being a swap. Lawrence Frank didn’t do didn’t do a bad job at first, but he has not just screwed himself, but he doomed his replacement. Guys like Jordan Miller might be good but they may potentially have to be traded for whatever picks the Clippers can get because he alone can’t carry us to relevance and FA’s will choose the Lakers or Nets. The Clippers are screwed for the next 8 years, with no hope until at least the 32-33 season.

I agree with Am.hoops that rear healthy Kawhi is a best player. It still is possible that he might have healthy post season and whatever might happen... I miss Westbrook with Kawhi but Harden kind of took his place and slowed the tempo. Russell couldn't be as aggressive which is his thing. Interesting will Westbrook find a role with Nuggets. God bless you all.. Good vid, thanks.
