At 11:50 to 11:56 you can see letters in the markings of the Gila Monster. Looks like it reads "DRAAA". Do you see it?

I was hiking near the Valley of Fire camp grounds and saw one of these guys. Yes, very beautiful. Thanks for the great video. I remember when Coyote Peterson was bitten by one. Surprise!

For those upset that Jack didn’t take a bite, c’mon, do you take him for an idiot? He knows that Gila monster venom has bad systemic consequences, much more like getting bit by a venomous snake than getting bit/stung by an arthropod, where, with some rare exceptions, the effects are localized.

Awesome to see! I want to find one so bad! I live in NY where we only have very few cool animals sadly as I’m in love with all reptiles, amphibians! I recently did a road trip to Houston TX to pick up my fiancé from vacation and got to see a scorpion well in Louisiana and got to HOLD a swamp puppy 😎🐊 I tried to catch the scorpion but he was so fast and squeezed under the fence he was up against instantly and I couldn’t hop over it🤣🥲 I wanted to find a tarantula as well but didn’t see any😭

in the 70s through mid 90s i lived in desert in parts of California and Arizona have seen probably 20 in 20 years beautiful animal

You made me so damn nervous down that close to him and turning your head away continuously. Coyote did that, soame distance with his phone, with an adopt one. That thing moved so fast coyote didn’t have a chance and was bit on the tip of his thumb. His phone saved him from the majority of the attack.

Just for the people that don't know gila monsters are protected and harassing them can land you in big trouble. To take a bite from one he would have to catch it and then force it to bite which would end up putting him behind bars also if not in the hospital then the bite.

I know not a bite but I hard getting pricked by a platypus might be the worst on earth. Heard the Gila monster extremely bad but after seeing coyote Peterson survive the bite when he cries over a bee sting it makes me wonder lol. Regardless hope I never find out.

You don’t die from a gila bite. I know multiple people who have been bit by gilas, every one of them describes it as lava in your veins

Damn it , you don't have to touch it to let it bite you .... all you had to do was that , and us , seeing the end result would've taught us to respect wildlife more.... Im truly disappointed ... Where's Coyote ???
