So many great places to see and so many wonderful places to eat. This time, I get to dine with good friends Sam and Clara, and new friend Dar and I get the enjoy Manila's most popular spots. My favourite and probably the most popular in the Philippines is a small fast food grilled chicken spot call ‪@MangInasalPhilippines‬ ... perfectly grilled chicken made to order along with the savoury sweet sauces and yes, the chicken oil...can't forget about the luscious flavourful chicken oil.
But the evening had more treats in store. This will be a visit to the Philippines' most popular buffet called the Vikings Buffet. I had a chance to visit the one in the Mall of Asia and as festive and celebratory as that was, they have another location; one that is a bit more upscale called NIU by Vikings; offering the the great dishes as their original location but with touches of truffles and caviar here and there, and an assortment of seafoods and meats... and of course, the wine, beer, and spirits.

Been there, and it is so worth the money. One thing they failed to tell us when we went is that you can ask the waiter for ANYTHING you can't find on the buffet and they will do their best to make it for you. We got a cappuccino and a fresh watermelon smoothie since we were already full. But that feature would make the experience soo soo much better especially for those with the need to have something made specific.

I used to live in the Philippines and this buffet looks amazing!! It blew my mind that you could get a full plate of rice with pork barbecue, and a cup of boiled peanuts, and some rolls known as pandasel I think (it's been a while)? All for under $3!! It was so delicious and fresh too!!

Tyvm and yqw Tim...very cold here...lucky for me it was only two days of rain, no snow during the Nor'Easter...Buffalo ( upstate N.Y. ), Westchester County got snow and Vermont got over a foot of snow and was still snowing the following day...temps here is no higher than 40 ° and down to the low 30s and 20s in some areas

Running out of foods in the buffet is not acceptable especially if buffet is higher end. Each paying customer should be able to enjoy the same food selections and experience. The foods do look great and thanks for sharing

Actually, I was pretty surprised that many stations were running out of food. Definitely a lot of items to choose from so not too big of an issue, but would have been nice to see what the other food stations looked like. Giving christmas, it gets really busy though

Isay Filipino buffets are better than the buffets herein Vegas. We may not have Caesar's Bacchanal buffet but what we have in the Philippines are more impressive than most buffets here in Vegas.
