I got a chance to meet up with good friend Michelle and we explored the mean streets of Manila (so to speak) and spent an enjoyable day touring, shopping and eating. Our first stop was in Tokyo town where we found this hidden Japanese restaurant. Service and food was exceptional and the surprise of the day? The wonderful mackerel sashimi! Absolutely a must try... Then we were off to do more walking and exploring.
Really good to work up an appetite as later that evening, there was a trip planned to the Solaire Resort and Casino for their unlimited lobster and seafood buffet! With over 25 lobster dishes on the menu along with the endless buffet, we were in for a treat! Lobster Tempura? or Lobster Kare Kare? How about a Lobster chowder, or a baked cheesy lobster? We can give those all a try and try I did :-)
Amazing hospitality and endless seafood and meats; it was truly one of the best buffets I've been to.

I watch Tim Lee for the first time and I really enjoy his easy going and slowly enjoying all the dishes. It's a marked difference between Tim and Mark Wiens. Every first word out of Mark's mouth was "WOW", no matter what he stuff into it. I am heading to Manila in Jan 19, 2023 and staying for five days. We are staying at the Okada which also has a great buffet. There are three buffet we intended to try. Okada, Spiral Cafe at the Sofitel, and now the Solaire buffet is a must after seeing this episode. Good Job. Thanks.

I love food, but my stomach doesn't have that much real estate. I take my hat off to those who can eat as much as Tim without becoming obese! lol. I have a few rules when I go to any buffet: 1 - Walk the ENTIRE buffet before taking anything. Then you know what to bypass. Or say there's fish, but you see one better down the line 2- (for me) NO fillers. No soup, no starches (potatoes, rice, bread, pasta) 3 - Fill up on 'expensive' things. If there's seafood, that's ALL I'm eating (maybe a few token broccoli spears) 4- Like Tim, take the smallest of a portion. Taste to make sure you like it and go back for more. My family used to have a restaurant and we were the first ones around our rural area in Ontario to have a Sunday buffet. At the time, I was a kid and I had to do the dishes. I'll never forget the disgusting amount of waste. People taking big scoops of potatoes and barely touching it. Having 2 slices of beef and barely eating half of one.

What a beautiful buffet to visit, and the staff are very eager to help and they bring your meals to your table too. A buffet like this in Vegas, especially a lobster buffet, is over 100USD. Way to go Tim, your buffets videos are top notch, hidden gems, for us to watch. Bravo my friend.

Even though we say there is no such a thing as too much lobsters, but in reality we don’t eat that much lobsters or other gourmet foods!!!!!! Unfortunately, people eat pizza, French fries, fried chicken, potato chips and all kinds of unhealthy foods all the time on a regular basis for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner!!!!!!!

Highly recommend both! Just be aware, I have seen comments about different experiences at the buffet. I went on the weekend and it was great, but I've seen comments where people weren't as satisfied

Wow! Oh my goodness! Tim, you were giddy! Me too, but lucky I got to enjoy vicariously. The only trouble with table service is you can't control the portion size. I would want to taste every single thing you did, and I wouldn't dare let anything so wonderful go to waste, but I would be so full so fast! Hello Tim, I just came back from Philippines yesterday (27/1/2023), and I went to the buffet on 26/1/2023 after watching your video. Sadly, I didn't find the food to be amazing, especially the lobsters. They now only serve lobsters at the Seafood station, and it wasn't that fresh or cooked well to say the least... just a very basic steam-baked lobster drenched in some kind of asian style oyster sauce? The meat was dry, a bit tough and quite bland. I asked the waiters if they have other options, and only 6 were available when I was there: 1. steamed lobster (plain), 2. grilled lobster (plain), 3. some butter sauce lobster, 4. cheese baked 5. thermidor baked lobster... 6. Tempura (I ordered this as well, but they forget to serve us multiple times... so at the end we didn't end up trying it) Pasta, chowder, and 90% of what you shown on the menu is no longer available. Unfortunately, I only liked the beef brisket and the raw salmon sashimi. The Korean station food was mediocre and I would avoid it IF I were to go back again. And to be frank, I wouldn't consider coming back again. It's sad how quality in the F&B industry is so unpredictable and can really be a huge hit or miss sometimes... I hope that the experience for others would be much better than mine.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! As hard as I try to keep things objective, it's always a little bit difficult to present a normal dining experience as hard as I try. I think once they see the camera, invariably there is a bit more attention given. However, when I was there, they did deliver the food to your table and you can order from your table as well. Mind you the server and host were always very attentive 😉

Perhaps Mr. Tim Lee doesn't realize it, but in all buffet restaurants here in the Philippines, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FINISH EVERYTHING; NO LEFTOVERS. Leaving food uneaten 1.) is bad manners here; 2.) you'll be required to pay a leftover fee that's basically about half the price of the original buffet price.

Hey Tim, my wife and I just got done eating at the Fresh buffet at Solaire and honestly it was just ok. The lobsters weren't that fresh as some just tasted mushy. The other dishes were still pretty good. The service was 10/10 at Fresh. We did see Manny Pacquiao's son eating next to us. I can't wait to try the Vietnamese lobster buffet. We were there 2 months ago. But I do not know, all what you are saying is the opposite of what we had experienced. We do not have that unlimited lobster, etc. Even those grilled (baby) scallops tasted like they were weeks ago. So we were seriously disappointed. Since perhaps you gonna vlog, they have prepared it to be excellent for a great vlog. Lucky you!

Fresh Buffet in Solaire is my favorite buffet.. So Elegant Restaurant and Foods are all delicious and good quality . Lots of Seafoods and pasta , pizza , ham choices.. etc . All my favorite cuisines are available in fresh The desserts are many ..
