This was nicely filmed. It surprised me that people were allowed to stay overnight in the parking lots in those gas stations/convenience stores. In the USA only Walmart lets you do that. All the other places need those parking spaces for people who want to get gas and to shop for items to eat. The rest stop you went to had good looking deli food like salads and Russian pancakes. Impressive. Thank you Valeria!

I always liked to bring our own food. If there is nothing to see, driving at night is nostalgic because we did that when I was a kid. I'm glad you found a place to sleep. I know a girl who spent the summer in that little town last year I think. Now she is in Serbia and someone from Rostov Who is in Tashkent and someone from krasnodar who is in Georgia.

This video was a bit surreal. It was just like a road trip here in Texas. I just couldn't read the signs!😂 I did notice a couple of items in the store you'd find here. Lay's potato chips. Gillette razors. The food looked appetizing and my compliments on your choice of background music. See you next time.

Another interesting video. Your voice was fine. the audio was perfect. So I traveled to Moscow and Saratov in 2001 and it appears to me that Russia, at least in the cities that there have been many improvements made. One of the things i found lacking that appears is no longer an issue is finding public clean restrooms. You have a lot of modern updates in 22 years later. Looks pretty good.

Not very expensive? Well that is truly different in Germany. Here stopping at a "Rasthof" on the Autobahn can make you poor. I cannot recommend it since the prices are very high (some products probably 5 times the price in a discounter). Take an exit. Drive too a little Restaurant. Fuel up at a station a little bit away of the Autobahn. It is well worth the time and the additional kilometres.

Petrol in Russia is quite cheap compared to here in Australia. Pre Covid I could get petrol for A$1.25(76R) per litre. Now the best in my area is around $1.93 (117R). Our wages are higher of course, but still Petrol is expensive for Australia. Like the USA, Australians rely on cars to go most places and work. Public transport outside capital cities is almost non existent.

Thank you for sharing. How did you film from the angle of being beside/above the car outside? The mini mart looked nice. Didn't realise so many families would prefer to sleep in the car at a gas station. Here in the US, I guess you could sleep in your car at a rest stop. I think most stay in a hotel/ motel. How come you didn't try to book a hotel room in advance, before starting your road trip? This way you would have been able to better plan your stops and not try to find a hotel at the last minute. 😊

Well, I think someone would be real smart and build some hotels along that route. So many people, traveling so far but nowhere to sleep. The smart ones had big money and have big travel vans. It is just ridiculous not to have accommodations for travelers. Maybe travelers is a new concept in Russia. Who is making all the money off toll roads? What a gimmick. I hate toll roads. That would be way way too much driving for me to handle. I can not imagine how you felt sitting in back seat. Your buns must have been so sore.
