And the Amulet of kings actually still existed for most of the games, it was only in Skyrim and bits of Oblivion where the Amulet of kings is destroyed. Leaving Elder Scrolls 1-3 and also ESO where the Emperor has a literal god Killer around his neck

This is the most powerful Daedric artifact in Skyrim simply because it can rapidly improve the most powerful skill in the game. Corrupt it into the Black Star, use any weapon with soul trap on it, slaughter bandits over and over, constantly recharge your weapon... and repeat. 100 enchanting skill in just a couple hours, at most.

I wouldn't say Azura's star (when not corrupted) is very morally unethical. Only black soul gems send animals or people to the Soul Cairn. The fact it's a white soul gem and she considers it tainted when it becomes a black soul gem just further shows her benevolence.

As soon as I got the Black Star, I immediately put Grelod into it. In fact, I intentionally gave Inigo all of my soul gems, to guarantee the Black Star was the only gem in my inventory. Now that Grelod is imprisoned in the star, the star sits in a Master-Lock chest in my basement, to remain for as long as I live.

@@CassioT989Studios666 1. But the star has been cut off from Azura. It is no longer her artifact and thus can't fade away into her realm. 2. It is a necessary part of completing the transformation. Without doing so you can't alter Azura's star permanently into the Black star. If martin could use the essense of a daedric artifact and "destroy" the said artifact to perform his ritual , a skilled altmer mage being able to cut an artifact off from it's master isn't far fetched. Mortals have done astonishing things in TES universe.

I don't know if you guys ever did videos on these topics, but first: Is Enchanting considered evil? not even Black souls cause of course, but I mean white souls. Second: Are vampires automatically evil in the Elder Scrolls? with Serana and such it would seem not but very few instances that seem to point in this direction. I wonder if you could be a vampire who is technically a good guy, maybe one who uses the abilities without killing when feeding (maybe a trusted person who lets you feed for example) and eventually wants to cure themselves after some time using the abilities. Just some thoughts I've always had.

BalianBlue I'm not sure I would consider Serana "good". She's still willing to do awful things if you side with the Volkihar and even if you don't she still uses powers like necromancy. Obviously the case with Azura's followers with them purposely isolating themselves to avoid hurting people proves not all vampires are evil though.

Are you sure? I mean, it's said that it's a soul gem, and that it holds Alessia's soul, but I kinda doubt it can hold a Prince, and it's never been used for such, as far as I'm aware. Further, there is no indication Azura's star/black star CAN'T hold a Princes soul, as once again, it's never been tried, lore wise. Once again, I kinda doubt it can, but we honestly don't know. The Amulet is easily one of the COOLEST soul gems though.

@@FBI-ju5no In elder scrolls online Mannimarco intents to use the amulet to capture the soul of Molag Ball and consume it, which would make him the next deadric prince of mischief. But he fails becouse of the protagonist player who defeats him after that Molag Ball takes Mannimarco for torture but due to the player fighting Molag ball he escapes and later is able to use the amulet of kings which he stole again to consume a piece of devine energy which made him into a god of necromencers. In lore it is never stated that Azura's star could do anything even close to capturing devine energy, so technicly I would have to say that The amulet of kings which is relic of Akatosh wins

So, we STILL don't see the Amulet used to hold a Princes soul, we are only told so, by someone who was being deceived by Molag Bal. As for the Star not being able to hold "divine energy", I'm not seeing that anywhere either. Also, I tend to avoid ESO lore, as it retcons FAR too much to be in the same universe as the rest of the games.

In playing ESO, interactions with Azura reveals direct communication and intervention was not allowed due to a pact signed by her and other daedric princes on what seems to be out of a whim. What befuddles me is that though this pact is to be enforced on nirn, the Star of Azura is known to be an Extention of her own pocket of oblivion. As such, wonder why the Dragonborn was needed to rid the necromancer within... she could've just done it herself, cause every mortal is going to want to turn this into a black star I suppose.

Aetherial energy is aetherial energy; fact is, casting spells and spirit siphoning are performed the exact same way, by channeling aetherial energy and directing it. The 'morality' of this is mortal-made nonsense; aetherial energy is non-sentient, even if it is the same energy that once gave life force to another, it is not sentient nor should it be treated as such, that's silly, at best. Azura/Asura/Suvara/Luminera/whatever else she may go by, the gemstone she created was designed as a medium for aetherial energy as a direct transference. Also, the whole 'white/black soul' thing is inconsistent with how aetherial energy actually is. The aetherial energy that inhabits a bear or a spider or a person, it has no explicit differences other than potential traits the energy can inherit, but that is irrelevant to the topic of channeling aetherial energy since those traits are lost when the energy is released, usually, and even if some traits are retained, they aren't for long. Yeah, I have experience with this and I wouldn't talk about it if I didn't.

Yes. Many just take the Black Star because it can trap black souls, which are more common grand souls. I choose the regular star as the Black Star isn’t that much more useful than the regular one and for role playing reasons.
