If u focus on something negative, say a health issue, and use it to release all fear etc that comes up with it, focussing on it (the negative thing) is very useful. It may even result in physical healing

I came to self observation through reading Gurdjieff, but it was too cerebral for me. I’ve been learning this “technique” from you, and reading Bhagavan and Nisgardatta. After a time I find the silence more and more and just observe my “mind attacks,” negative thoughts, and often a smile seems to come from nowhere. It’s not as if I’m laughing at myself, it’s just a smile, sometimes a chuckle. Then somehow I move on from the event.

The real i 👁 . I think it’s easier for people to react to people or situations or events unconsciously because of lack of awareness. I know that just sitting and observing the emotion and the way it feels is best and how it makes your body feel (as the body is an emotional filter) and you say our loud CHANGE (from Dr Joe Dispenza’s book) as it’s not loving to the ‘self’ the ‘i’. Suppressing emotions and not observing them isn’t the best idea as that causes disease in the body eventually if living in those lower emotions daily. And reacting is also not a good idea. It’s best to observe how it feels and let it go. You can always control your thoughts about the situation as the thought will control the feeling in the body 🧡

This clarify my experience on why sometimes when i observe my thoughts, even feelings it kinda goes away or desssipate. On the other side of that focus or observation the feeling or thoughts sometimes starts to linger. Well, the answer to this dillema was the right kind of focus or observation which is neutral. People should understand the “how” of the what(perspectives). Point of source, the intention of doing. Not just the action itself. 💯 It takes wisdom to see the angles within angles. Everything is infinite ♾ Always something within the within.. 💯

I finally got the part of resting whithin the self and watching the awareness. But how do i watch my emotions when they arise ? Do i follow them ? Because i cant watch them and watch the me ? or can i ? I struggle a bit at that. Should i stay in the "self" while looking for where the emotion is in my body ?

Ok sunny what I got is this. Staying neutral no matter the feelings good or bad, positive nor negative... so does this help with stabilizing the polarities? Your in the middle the neutral point. The observer, the untouched LoL I’m getting over my head.... I feel like this is the best place to be as you are not swayed by events but rather in control of what choices to make....correct me if I’m wrong

I dunno I just feel like this is like teaching you to be emotionless? Or is it more recognizing emotions? Maybe I'm not fully understanding what he's really trying to say. I want to have positive emotions, why would I want that to go away?

So using the carnival experience, instead of being drawn in by all the sights and sounds I'm seeing, I stand there calmly observing. Like it's a play going on around me? I'm not really part of that scene but I'm in the scene? I know that I need to stop and pause and that is my challenge. I dislike looking back afterwards and thinking why did I let that take me over for an hour or even a day ( I love going to sleep and starting over so usually things don't affect me for more than a day).

You're talking about "no self". People who meditate will know what you are talking about. It is the "knower" being interested in what is known.
