Oh, I love these! Workable tracks really sell a kit for me, and I honestly have never loved the extensively weighty look of metal - the sag feels out of scale at times, if that makes sense. I've got a shelf full of modern tanks right now, but I'm highly tempted to do an early T-34 now

great video, sorry for the off top question, can't find a video where you mention your airbrush model - could you please tell me what is your airbrush along with compressor models? thanks in advance

Did the Tankraft Early Tiger tracks last week. They assembled pretty easy, those required 2 pins one from each side. Hope they do Panther tracks.

It is really strange how something that seems like it should be so mind numbing can instead be a very satisfying process. I was dreading doing my first set, but then after I started rolling it really was enjoyable. :)

That's pretty good, have you ever heard of Fruilmodel? They're a polish company that makes tracks for pretty much every scale model tank ever... and they're made out of metal!
@Hey_MikeZeroEcho22P Жыл бұрын
Excellent!! I like your set-up on how to build these tracks, didn't know that they had 3D-printed tracks. But, I do plan on buying white-metal tracks ( a bit wider selection ), BUT if I do plan on building WW2 tanks, I'll give them a shot! Good Show, on helping out this company as well, showing references for them to make those tracks. Look forward on how to paint them...... Thanks for the posting!

will they be adding more tank tracks or will they keep the same tanks they have now?

@@tankraft5226 Any more modern NATO tanks by chance?? There are a few other 'track companies' that have a LOT of different tracks....could be interesting!!

This is a perfect solution for my 40 year old unfinished Tamiya T34 kit. The old tracks don’t look good and didn’t really survive.

Great packaging, love the made in USA aspect but why aftermarket tracks can't come in at $20 is frustrating. I'm sure there at hidden costs to putting out these products, but at $37 that's the price of some complete model kits ($44 for the brand new Tamiya Comet) which took one heck of a lot more R&D to bring to market than a track link or two with a pin. However, the more spendy modelers will gobble these up so I'll just go back to my bench and pipe down.

hi, I'm starting my first model kit , but I don't know if before to paint all the pieces I have to sand it down even the small one or only the biggest like the main body , thx btw your channel is awesome for beginners
@BS-561 Жыл бұрын
I know you asked him and not me but I thought I would give some of my thoughts and what I’ve done (I’m sorta new to the hobby too). I have removed the items from the sprue and then I sanded down any/all flash lines, sprue marks and then I painted everything with my base black or base grey.
@mirkomk2675 Жыл бұрын
@@BS-561 i asked in generally btw thx
@SpruesNBrews Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thanks for your support - I appreciate it! You shouldn't have to sand everything down, just the cut marks where you remove pieces from the sprue & any molding defects. Modern kits are pretty clean, so not much sanding should be required 👍
@FB2ABG Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but if you have an older kit it may require more sanding. I like to sand some of my parts for a cleaner fit, but it's totally up to you.

I really like there stuff! I got my Mat the other day! Is there a benefit of the plastic tracks over some of the metal ones Iv seen after market?
@SpruesNBrews Жыл бұрын
Great! And I wouldn't say a benefit per say - it's really up to individual preference. I think the plastic 3D printed ones are a little bit more user-friendly, though 👍
@jefftaylor5445 Жыл бұрын
Thank you good to know! I’m still new. Your videos really help! I just saw that people like to rust and weather the metal ones. Love to see how yours turn out!
@tankraft5226 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your support! 🤩 The main advantage to 3D printed tracks is the level of detail at scale that can be achieved.

I’ll have to pick some up! I love love your mats. Unfortunately the one I wanted was out of sock but I’m happy with the one I got instead.

Do you think these tracks are strong enough to “play” with? By play I mean: roll the tank on my desk and pretend it’s a real tank😂 I just want the tank to be functional and every latch, hatch, cover and wheel to be moveable and non-static! Great video dude! I love your content, I like your style and attitude, remarkable work! Greetings from South Florida 💪😎👍
@SpruesNBrews Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I don't think these will be right to play with - static models are pretty fragile & won't hold up to constant handling - they're more for display 👍
@tankraft5226 Жыл бұрын
Only if you make tank sounds when doing so! 😂
@Hey_MikeZeroEcho22P Жыл бұрын
That was a question that I wondered as well..... Not Really to "play with", but to show somebody else how "More realistic" the tracks would work/sag on a scale model tank.
@GB-yo8xf Жыл бұрын
I tried 3D tracks A few months ago. They were an easy build...BUT....the links were way too Brittle! Way too many broken links and pins. Maybe the material used was too cheap...not sure. Paid $40 for them and until they are made from better materials....I'll just refrain and use kit parts!

No M4 Sherman tracks. In fact, there is only one American tank track set. For the M18 hellcat. Tons for German and Russian tanks. How can they not have a track set for the M4 Sherman at least?
@SpruesNBrews Жыл бұрын
I'm sure they're working on it! The American padded tracks are quite a bit different than their European counterparts, so I'd imagine they're require a little more development 👍

3D models for T-66 and T-80 tracks are complete. Those will be out this summer. Working on T-84s. I have data for a bunch of other Sherman variants. Like Hank said they are a little more finicky due to track tension issues across kit manufacturers. It just takes time to get things ready for sale.
