To add on to the other stories in this video - During Marvin’s time on the St Louis Spirits, the team was set to depart on a flight from Louisville at 8 am that would arrive at St Louis at 7:56. After one look at his ticket, Barnes said "I ain't getting on no time machine," and rented a car for the trip home.

HELL YEAH! I just read the book about the ABA (Loose Balls), and Marvin's section is one of the most memorable. CLASSIC!

The 30 for 30 on this guy was eye opening. And I’ve always considered myself a big sports history guy. And I’d never heard about this guy’s story until 2013, 14.

I knew a man who played against Marvin Barnes in college. He could go on for hours telling Marvin Barnes stories.
