DC isn't related to Dead God at all actually. DC requires every Hard Mode Mark on every character (all 34) but doesn't take anything else into account. the Dedication achievement and challenges can be left uncompleted and you will still get the DC unlock. Dead God is what you get for having every achievement, not Death Certificate. Most people end up completing the challenges before unlocking DC because it's common to try the challenged in between going for marks

So a tip I have for anyone that has at least two controlers and is struggling with any cahracter marks. Just connext the second controller, click the character you want marks for first, join with second controller as Azazel or something. And you will get marks easily. I fould this it because of a skill issue I had playing with a friend.

21:00 yes I have had a experience like that. one time I was playing as forgotten for the first time and I had made it to mega Stan. I killed him but I never got the check mark for some reason. I ended up getting a portal for delirium and I killed him too. after I had finished the run by touching the chest instead of a cut scene I got teleported to a room with 3 mega Stans in it with red text at the bottom of the screen saying "mega Satan tracking fail safe" or something along those lines and then it gave me the steam achievement and check mark for beating him. tried looking it up online and found nothing. tripped me out
