Had to pause at 10:19 ish to follow along with the math. So so close, but so so wrong as well. But- it's funny what the actual outcome is. For those who are curious, (C^2) - (M^2) =/= (C - M)^2... What it actually comes out to is : (C^2) - (M^2) == (C - M)x(C + M). IF you continue with this, you actually get C == 0, instead of C == 2M, since the M's cancel out. Really enjoyed the video! Actually got me to finally buy the game, especially with the coding section! Thanks!!

You can just say that m and c is one, (c) and therefore it’s first c = c and then c^2 is equal to c^2 and then you minus c^2 from both sides leaving you with 0. What I did there was I replaced m with c which is not incorrect since c = m

Not trying to be a math dork and I know this is all a joke to explain cookie fractals, but (c-m)^2 would not equal m(c-m), it would equal c^2-2cm+m^2, which explain how cookies magically appeared. Honestly, this is on par for cookie clicker craziness though.

The opposite sides makes it so when you distribute, that middle section cancels each other out so you are left with the two terms squared. It’s weird because theoretically signs shouldn’t matter but because of imaginary numbers that arise from negative numbers and squaring/square rooting, stuff like this happens.

For anyone curious the math at 10:45 is absolutely not correct. First C²-m² = (C-m)² is not universally true. It can be true in situations where both numbers are actaully the same number (like we have here) because then it's equal to 0 either way. In this case we'll let it slide, but because of that very fact a second issue arises of. You can't divide by C-m when C-m = 0 because you can't divide by zero. You can't have both of these issues together. Either the numbers are the same or they're not.
