Bro, I would be so fucking happy to get 1k a month in allowance, I barely make that working a full month, that's partly because of my choice of work days but still, I work 96 hours a month if I'm not dealing with shitty health issues. It’s not really the act of asking your parents for money that makes a person a ‘spoiled brat.’ It’s more the action of throwing a fit when or if they say no to your request that makes you a spoiled brat! So you can ask your parents for money if you want to. Just accept it when they say no, say ‘thanks anyway’ (in a nice tone, not a sarcastic one), and you will never be labelled a spoiled brat.

@vedantsridhar8378 Жыл бұрын
@@KSull6736 Yeah, the real people I hate here are the parents. It's very normal for young children to ask for random and very expensive things, even I remember asking my parents to buy some flying shoes. It's the parents' job to control the child. Now because of these parents, that poor girl won't every have a happy life again. I don't hate the girl, in fact, I feel very sorry for her. Even though I understand that people would have the tendency to hate the girl, I show empathy towards the girl but hate towards her parents.

I don't do a lot of chores but i didn't have a lot of allowance (at least not enough for me) rather than just crying abour asking for more allowance i have always worked for my own money and i am so grateful for that, earning your own money and being able to spend that feels so good and really makes you realize the value of money. Setting up goals and working towards them is super great for building good mindset, if all your goals are already completed for you and laid out you will turn out like the brat in the video.
@Gireg Жыл бұрын
I never got allowance and I had to help with the housechores when I was younger, I wasn't paid but I didn't care because I never needed money in the first place and my brothers and sister were also helping. If I wanted something, like a game or money to spend with my friends, I just had to ask and in exchange for it, my parents would ask me to do something specific and then respect their part of the deal. Because of that I ended never really asking anything for my birthday or Christmas past 12 years old. Now I'm in my second year of higher education and I still don't ask them anything regarding money or gift and I wouldn't dare because they are kind enough to pay for my studies, my food and my appartment. I used to think that parents paying for studies and supporting their kid was the norm before moving out but recently I've come across a lot of stories of young adults having to pay for their own studies for different reasons and I realized how lucky I am. Good luck to all of you whatever you're doing and kids be respectful of your parents and help with the chores, you don't realize it now but one day you will end up missing cleaning the house and cooking with your family.

i grew up in a family that had money. We never really had to worry about anything and i’d say that i lived in a upper class household. Because I understood my privilege and I understood that others aren’t as fortunate to be in a family like mine I always made it my goal to pay for my own things. I never allowed my parents to buy me things that I wanted like my laptop my phone my pc, clothes, shoes ect. things like that. I even buy my own groceries a lot of times. I donate to a lot of non profits and I wanna feel the glory of being an adult and not relying on mommy and daddy’s money yk? My sister on the hand… is 20 years old and makes my parents pay for her apartment rent and everything she ever wants she gets. I don’t like the way she acts and I would hate to live like that.
