For people who want to play this plane, get the Boosters ASAP. You need it if you want to turn, once you get that it'll be a lot better. Just don't try to pull hard for an extended period of time while going very fast or you'll rip your wings.

Yea in this meta playing it is hell. Without the boosters, it refuses to turn at high speeds, making that advantage useless. Uptiers alot anyways so its speed is even more useless unless you get a downtier. The missiles are ok but only if people arent paying attention, wasnt very common when I played it. This plane sucks all of your remaining sanity just to receive a below average jet that definitely wasnt worth your time. Avoid this jet unless you like making your life miserable.

@@nichtthunder The Lim 5 is a monster a Mig 17 on Crack- fine radar kinda has radar lock, great speed, good acceleration, great agility, great guns, it can energy fight great, but the F86 is slow, can't turn yes it can hold its speed well but the guns suck, it looses speed very fast when u drop afterburner for 2 seconds but the Lim-5p? it can almost reach mach and it can dogfight almost everything u throw at it

I like both the Lim-5 and the F-86K. The Sabre dog requires you to play a bit more passively while the Lim-5 you gotta find the right opportunities to dogfight your opponents.

From what I can see: it has the weakest afterburning engine in the game. When stock, the F-86K full afterburner thrust is 10kgf less than the non-afterburning engine of the Mystere IVA's Hispano-Suiza Verdon-350 and when inspecting the engine model of the F-86K in the hangar it does not even show you the max thrust without afterburner probably because it is so low it is not even worth mentioning. The lack of maneuverability makes absolutely zero sense as it has an all moving tail plane (stabilator) and just slightly extended wings but notably with full wing leading edge slats which should make the plane incredibly maneuverable at low speeds at the very least... but even the Canadaire Sabres can catch these Sabre dogs no problem. It can't even compete with 8.7 br aircraft like the MiG-17 which were recently moved down from 9.0 br, as if the MiG-17 needed to be moved down in BR but not the F-86K Sabre Dog?... and then when it gets full or partial uptier to 10.0 or 9.7 br it faces all aspect AIM-9L, R-60M, and R-3R. It is exactly as you said, more bullshit on Gaijin Entertainments behalf which brings me to the edge and damn near gives me cardiac arrest from how frustrating it is.

it's a shame this isn't going down with the BR changes. instead of moving up everything with AIM-9Ls and R60s, they're moving everything else down! which is great for the MiG-15bis (ish but it's a 15bis) which now faces Spitifre Mk.24s....... but very bad for the Spitfire Mk.24s....

I have spaded 2 of 3 F-86K. First one i had no problem. But the second time it was a pain. Still have the Ger F-86K to spade 😢

Its not a bad plane but it only gets good late game when you can just single out people and energy trap them hard. Regular Sabres and even Mig15s have basically no chance against this.

I think all the sabres and there variants have some of the worst stock vs spaded performances and it just depends on the severity, I think all 3 of the r2y2s have it worse borderline unable to do anything until fully spaded

Can someone explain to me why some of your kills are worth 550RP and some are worth just 90RP? Do you get most of the RP for the Severe Damage and then the small amount is the rest when it says Aircraft Destroyed? But if you one shot something you get all the 550RP instantly? Is it because of the new damage system?

Severe Damage 80%, last hit 20%, if I remember correctly. Instant kill obviously gives you 100% instantly. Yes, it's a new damage system
