I agree don’t abuse them but tbh n52s can take a hard beating and still be fine as long as u do maintain them. I’ve seen them get revved out way past the limiter hitting 8k and stay on redline for a hot min and have no issues after words.

@@I_Ali_Ihow much power can N52 handle if I tune it?
@I_Ali_I
@I_Ali_I 11 ай бұрын
@@insansiregar6158 it’s not like n54 u can’t just throw a tune and make 300 hp, ur gonna need to Install the mods before u even really tune it. 3 stage intake, MILVS, catless headers once u do those mods u purchase the tune, tune the car and your mods will work with your engine more optimized and you’ll probably push 280-290 hp. There’s little things u can do like change the intake to euro spec, put a straight boot from the throttle body to the intake box, and intake scoops. I’ve heard these things may help or may do nothing but i guess it doesn’t hurt to make the air get to ur engine a lil faster. But n52 can handle up to 330 hp if u buy the super charger, u can do all the mods I talked about then run 1-2 pounds of boost and hit 330 hp. that road will cost a lot but the engine can handle it. I’ve seen that even internally stock n52 with custom oil cooler and oil housing, custom intake manifold work, and I think custom fuel injectors, was able to push out 450whp so the engine can handle the extreme with support.

It’s a strong engine car, easy to maintain no turbo to gone wrong, can’t tuned for big power tho but still plenty fast enough. Thirsty on fuel, revs to 6,800rpm. Very smooth power doesn’t feel dramatic. I own this car for a while now it’s my daily. i also have a 2.0 z4 2012 remapped to 280hp which feels a lot faster, lots of toque pulled all the way to 6,800rpm, modifications includes bigger inter-cooler, de-cat down pipe and a custom remaps. i still love driving the e92 330i more, the power is smooth, it’s revs the sound is amazing, you can use all the power. It’s really fun to drive, will definitely take it on the track to see how it gets on. When i’m driving this car, I never fear for it will blow up on me, there’s no boost, smooth as hell. It just prrrr away…..also runs flat tyres makes the car handle badly, I never get on with them.

@@zaink7037 It’s super smooth, very happy to rev and has an effortless feel thanks to a decently wide torque curve (for a naturally aspirated engine). I bought a used 2007 BMW E92 330i back in 2013, it had 109,000 km on the clock, built in Germany (US models are built in the US). This is a 3.0 liter inline six normally aspirated port injection engine delivering 272hp at 6,500 rpm. It's my weekend car, I do roughly 8,000 km a year with it, so not an awful lot. Now with 150k km on the clock. No HPFP issues (only low pressure fuel pump in this model), port injected (no direct injection so valves get cleaned by fuel), no turbo failures (normally aspirated), no electric failures, no overheating, no limp mode, no horror stories. Maybe I've been lucky I don't know but the only thing I did to the car was change the battery last year, it was 11 years old from factory, not bad, would still start but the crank was a bit longer than usual and I didn't want to risk it. That was a 100 euros job at an independent trusted garage. The other thing that needs fixing is the rear parking sensor which no longer works. I won't be repairing it as I don't need it. That's it. Other BMW owners in the community advise to look out for a few things prone to go at some point (electric water pump, thermostat, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, ABS pump). But so far so good, touch wood. It cost me 15.5K euros back in 2013 (almost 6 years old at the time), was worth 54K new with the few extras (full leather, M3 wheels, sports suspension, sports seats, front and rear spoilers etc.). A very clean and uncluttered dashboard, no useless idrive, no obsolete navi, no touchscreens, good old fashion buttons feeling solid, almost a sober cabin by today luxury standards with no gadgets, no nonsense. The only entertainment I get is when plugging my 2013 160gb iPod (I still use one of these) via the digital port into a half decent stereo (6 speakers). I installed an aftermarket Bluetooth hands free kit for the phone. Comfort is ok but the ride can be a bit harsh on bumps and potholes with the sports supsension, although a lot more comfy that my SEAT LCR mk1 TBH). Now the real pleasure comes from the the way the car communicates through the steering wheel, the pedals and the manual gearbox. The precision of the steering and the smooth progression of the accelerator are a real joy. It's not crazy fast but plenty enough for me (0-100km/h or 0-62mph in 5.9s). This is all the car I need to get my adrenaline pumping. If I was to buy another one today it would cost me 15k euros where I live with similar specs, mileage and extras. That means I've had virtually no depreciation in 6 years ownership, mind boggling.

I recently got a 58 plate e92 330i M Sport and it's stunning, blue with cream leather interior it really looks the business. It has the M Sport body kit, suspension and 19 inch wheels so naturally looks more aggressive and purposeful than the standard SE or Sport version. Because the manuals are rare as hens teeth I had to buy an auto which is a new experience for me but actually It's growing on me. It's easy for city driving in the traffic but then when on the open road you can blip the throttle and it changes down a gear and it takes off like rocket. I had an e46 320i coupe before and the first drive I had in it I couldn't believe how much quicker it was, it really was hang on for dear life time!! I did consider the 335i but it only has about 30bhp more and the road tax is more than twice the cost per year and it just didn't seem worth it, the 330i is the sweet spot in my opinion.

To become something in today’s car reviews you need to be more critical. Car reviewers who have started after you have already become more successful as they give an honest opinion. I try to like the channel however you give no negatives. I have followed the channel since day one and even purchased merchandise but lately other car reviewers are leaps and bounds ahead giving genuine opinionated reviews even if it offends people which you don’t. To save this channel you need to be more honest, give feedback to your viewers as you come across arrogant. (I know you will not read this, but figured I would try help regardless before it all comes crashing down)

Ash01 Probably best to stay away from the 335. Too many variables when it comes down to the things that can and do go wrong. I’ve had a 330i for 4 years now and the only problem I’ve had is coil packs, which need changing after sometime anyway and is not a fault. If you go for a fully spec’d M sport model, you’ll have enough motor to enjoy. Sports mode opens up nicely and releases a raspier tone on the throttle. Not to mention flipping the traction control button off adds to the fun. That being said, after having just been served a tidy bill by Her Majesty’s pleasure, I seldom put my foot down anymore. 🤔😔

Unpopular opinion, but the 335i is not a fast car really unless you mod it. I think when I had mine I got 4.8 sec 0-60 at best. And when you mod it, it’s even more unreliable. In order to fully sort out a 335i you’re looking at thousands of dollars. A 328i or 330i has plenty of power for most spirited drivers. These cars have good gearing ratios as well, so they pull very well when you punch it when going 40-60mph. If you want a fast bmw you won’t dump money into, look at the newer B48 and B58 engines.

No, the 330 e92 has no turbos. Straight-6 Engine with 3.0 litres. The 325i (3.0) and the 330i have the same engine (N53).

No it will not. At all. No matter what you do to it. The same chassis with better brakes. Better transmission and better much more powerful engines? I dont think so. With just a tune 335i are beating E9x M3 so your fantasies about a N52 powered car beating a N54 car. Are just that, fantasies.

Joodlett n54 335i are super unreliable. Not just turbo issues. Plus the £500 tax and shit mpg (16-18). If you’re gonna get a 335i make sure it’s the latter n55 (2009/2010 onwards) single turbo for half the tax cost, better mpg and better reliability

The key to getting a good mpg on these is to keep up the services, not a cheap car to run or maintain by any means, but with the right fuel and regular service I get around 25 round town, 37 at 70mph, which is actually quite respectable.

weemikey vr46 fan I’ve just sold my 2016 st diesel, there great cars, plenty of torque, great looks and handling, the trouble I found is that no matter what, it just didn’t drive like a petrol and in reality, was pretty slow and in need of a map I’ve just brought a 2011 e92 330i and although it’s older, it’s such a nicer car to drive and generally be in, likes a drink over the focus tho😉 it’s a small price to pay for the sound tho
