Labeling this as a productivity video was low key a trick but the most helpful of tricks! 💛✨ Your videos are so well researched and I always get introduced to something new! Thanks for what you do

Hahaha I get what you’re saying but I genuinely *do* think this is a major productivity ‘hack’ that is under discussed

Thank you! Even when I was new to the productivity community, I knew how big of a factor this was. No matter what techniques or self-management or whatever I have, those don't matter if I cannot handle/regulate my emotions. That's why stuff like depression is so awful! A person could have all the productivity tips in the world but as soon as an insurmountable wall of emotion comes up, those tips go out the window. It's not that they're lazy or have a bad work ethic, it's that their needs aren't met (emotional needs but also, as you said, basic survival needs that can contribute to feeling fractured or unsafe).

I was just talking to a friend about this the other morning. She was asking about apps to limit social media use and I was saying how I just find something else to procrastinate with cause we don’t address the underlying desire that leads us there in the first place. This is an amazing list of tools all in one place, thank you so much!!

Love this! Tip No.2 for emotional regulation is used during EMDR treatment to process memories in a safer/less scary way. It is definitely a powerful way to remove the initial emotion from a situation, by playing it almost in third person (this could be a TV, Cinema screen or theatre stage... whichever resonates the most!).

I agree. This is the most underrated, unseen and barely talked about productivity tools ever. By far. And it IS the most important. Love this video.

I'm from West Bengal, India. A reason for not being able to work well can also be the weather. It's so freaking hot in here since forever. Only thing i feel throughout the day is discomfort, annoyance, anger, headache.... It's really not something that can be ignored or cured in some way... I mean sure if you have money you can buy AC. But that isn't possible for everyone. We don't have pretty cafes, nice libraries or anything in here.... Just waiting for the weather to get better abd getting my work piled up which is adding to the annoyance and anger

I feel this! I'm from a nordic country, so i can't relate to your situation much, but not working well when overheated is a universal experience i think! I spend all of the dark winters here wishing for the warmer months but as soon as its above 23 degrees my brain switches off completely. I've been trying to get up early so i can be active in the cool morning hours, but that's hard when its too hot to go to sleep in the evenings. I'm curious, what do you do to cool yourself down and increase your cognitive function? How do you cope with the heat? I hope you find a cool spot today!

Such an underrated channel. Actually useful and well-researched content instead of regurgitating what every other article and video does, or being meandering and trendy stream-of-consciousness. Thank you for all that you do, may your channel continue to thrive!

Thanks for sharing this. I've learned many similar techniques myself, but it's nice to have them described in a different way and in different words. I might even want to re-watch this video and write down notes about the most important techniques :) And I will say to anyone reading this: Trust me, some of these techniques can really help change your life for the better. For example I've used the technique about observing my emotions to consume less sugar/soda/sweets and to excercise more, and also to waste less time on social media and the like. It can truely be life-changing to learn these techniques!

Really love your channel's compassionate approach to productivity! Would you be able to make a video about how to balance goals while still having an abundant social life? I want to participate in group activities and maintain friendships, but often find it difficult to balance these with personal errands & goals. Part of my issue is being an introvert and not a big morning person, lols

I love your content and even subscribed to the Intention app! 🤍 the only thing is your 'S' sounds are very harsh to listen to so I stopped using the app. I was wondering if you're at all able to reduce the sibilance in your audio in case it bothers other hypersensitive viewers as well. In any case, thanks for the great content!
