"Fourth round guys never make the NHL?" I will forgive you because you sound very young! There are so MANY late drafts due to people/scouts underestimating their talent. Henrik Zetterberg 210th, Doug Gilmore 134th, Brett Hull 117th, Pavel Datsyuk 171st, Theo Fleury 166th, Luc Robitaille 171st, Connor Hellebuyck, 5th round(130), Mark Stone, 6th round (178),Joe Pavelski, 7th round (205), Jamie Benn, 5th round (129) and the list goes on. Your point might have merit, BUT the caliber of players that get missed is mind bowing! These are not people that flew under the radar any one team's scouts. Literally every expert and scout in the NHL missed picking these guys up . And these aren't just people who made it to the NHL, these are some great players!

Friedman just got waived down to the AHL an hour after you posted this. Hope he doesn't get claimed, if he does maybe he'll get the minutes he deserves in an NHL team
