My 1st tube of 25, and the watch is gorgeous. Very well executed, again Baltany have made a cracker of a military inspired watch. Personally i would like the watch without the date but its subtle so doesn't detract too much from the looks of the watch and yes drilled lugs should have been added as it screams strap changes. Now the big question, i noticed a glass in the video so i guess a wee dram has been consumed, so whats your choice of tipple. Thanks John and wishing you a happy and successful new year🍻.

Haha...Dalwhinnie Single Malt 15 Years...a Christmas pressie from my daughter, who works at MaCallan! She got it as when we pass the Distillery on the way south on occasion I always wonder if the Whisky is good! It is lovely but I love Laphroaig.

Hey John! I think the date window is fine as is the entire watch! For me, Baltany is the AliExpress brand producing the least soulless watches. Happy New Year mate!🎉🎉🎉

Have a couple of Baltany watches and they are excellent for the price. This brown dial one looks like one I'll have to get! I think the date window within the seconds dial is a great touch - I missed it until you pointed it out as the dial color was mesmerising. Another great video! This will be my first watch purchase for 2025!

Hi John. I have the tri-compax with the type B dial running the VK-67. I have a phrase every time I see a “24 hour” sub dial…..INSTANT DEAL KILLER. For gosh sakes…look out your window. A WASTE of total dial space when a useful, historically correct, chronograph is available with sapphire, 100 meters, screw down everything …..I know I have done the “weave” on this but just to say…Baltany makes great value watches. I will take a look at this one John. Baltany have done an un-hype thing. Conservative, 39 mm class. All for $150.00 to $175.00 at Amazon or wherever (AliX scares me) . My favorite cheap, Chinese , micro brand. Super vid John. Happy New Year Sir!

That's a beautiful dial, if they had to put a date on, that is the best place. Sometimes it looked like the date wasn't centred in the window, but that might be my mistake. The thickness was better than I expected, with an nh movement it probably would have been 12mm+. I hope the weather isn't too bad up your way 🤞

That beautiful sunburst dial looks more copper than brown. Absolutely stunning. Not so keen on the basic Seagull movement though. Quartz would have been better, and allowed the case to be a bit slimmer too. Lovely watch though! Welcome back John, and I hope you have a happy and successful year in 2025. 🍸🥂

I've had a vintage style chrono for about a year now and it's a cracking watch although, at 39mm only just big enough for my 7.5 inch wrist. But, they certainly make quality watches for great prices.

Hi Marc. Remember to subscribe! The bracelet is from Forstner. I had to get it as it seems that Zodiac don't like anyone who has a wrist less than 7.25 inches! The standard bracelet will only allow two links to be removed which is plain silly...so I bought this bracelet on a recommendation. There are others you can choose though. Beautiful watch . No date would elevate it for me , but I think that of most watches TBF . The lume looks fine IMO

I have a two step Lume test I apply to every watch. A 10 min time lapse in the Cupboard of Doom, which should represent around 2 hours of degradation. It is then followed up with a bedside check at 5 am. It was close to failing which is unusual for the brand. Thanks for watching.

I’ve been waiting for someone to make a dirty dozen with date and it define should be square, I feel the date looks a bit small here, 0:05 the market for dirty dozen watches is so crowded it makes very little sense doing the same as every one else somhats off to Baltany I need to go and look at the black one but for me, it can’t have polished surfaces or multiple colours of lume. I still want Vertex to add a date to theirs but they said no so I’m still waiting for the right version to be made.
