Just in awe of the reaction!! Imagine all the hard work vanishing at that moment, but the acceptance shows the sign of a true champion!

Must be easiest play to take the pawn at 9.45 here? Either you get knight + pawn for the rook or it's a free pawn. Much easier to play from there than how he played here. Sure there's nothing wrong with his move but leads to more complications.

That is really heartbreaking loss. 9:54 Why didnt he just play :1 ...Rc1+ 2. Kd4 h3 3.b6 Rc8 and it is time to resign because rook now guards promotion square and black promotes Always check you checks and captures first , especially in time trouble. Play check first, usually it is very good for you ! I think even Rapport felt uncomfortable to take win like that. But flagging happens in chess and in World Championships you take what ever gift your opponent is offering to you .

@@williamrobert9898 You know answer to that. Noone of commentators under chess video are good enough to play on World Championships. But it does not mean we cant discuss what would have been better move, propose lines how would player win . That is the whole idea of chess videos commentary section.Even with very old chess videos people do that .Chess fans still argue if Fischer would be able the draw 1st game of 1972 vs Spassky after ...Bxh2 ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5mqhYl3fa5gaZIsi=8xHHz-Q6UEdOKWr6&t=1279 They are interested in that very old game. Noone is stupid enough to say : why dont you play World Championship match yourself.! If you dont have anything to contribute, if you are not interested in possible different lines or what other commentators think, why waste your time here at all ?

It would have come with check, so not sure if he was winning. IN Q endgames, the person with the first check has the advantage. Tough luck, still!

How early can we hold the queens tho? I mean like can we hold the queen 3-4 moves away from queening just so that this problem wont happen to us? Or is there a rule to it
@sauron4313
@sauron4313 Күн бұрын
You can hold the queen of your colour as early as you want if it has been captured already. There is no FIDE rule against it, but most players do not do it unless they are sure they want to queen, as not to hint to their opponents of any intentions.

9:41 aravind is wasting a lot of time taking the piece and moving it instead he could just slide the piece to the intended square . dont know what the coaches are doing not even noticing these kind of mistakes which could cost him the game

Yeah, much better practically. His play now is winning as well ofc but much easier to just take the pawn there. Either free pawn or knight+pawn for the rook.

@@filetinho Incorrect. If you look closely, Rapport had a black queen on his side that may have been blocked by his hand reaching out. Although we do not know if Aravindh would've seen it anyways (or maybe if he did but realized he didn't have time) it surely would've only helped him, rather than reach across the corners of the table a couple times.
