If i remember correctly there was another outfit for her, this was a cheap one so it was ok to get wet in. they went by waterski or by boat, don't remember the details of how it panned out but they went across the water to the venue.

They did their vows on water skis - she was a competitive and very good skier. After they did their vows in wet suits with the cut down dress he had a really beautiful wedding dress waiting for her and she got her hair and makeup all done. It actually turned out really lovely.

@@ciaocricri I like the idea of having a catwalk inspired wedding dress it’s different its unique, but it’s too plain from top to bottom and it looks like the groom has stuck two pieces of fabric together with duck tape unless he was going for a much smoother and simpler style then I could see why he chose the dress and the outcome of the design was alright could’ve use a little bit more glam to give it a proper feel but overall the dress looks great on her, it’s figure hugging, and it’s a two piece dress which you almost never really see on wedding magazines or blogs or anything like that which makes it even more interesting I’m impressed that the groom went for a bold choice for his bride to be the best part of it she loved it which is all that matters

Some grooms do okay and some fail miserably hence the title "Don't Tell The Bride". I remember one groom planned a Vegas wedding so he and his groomsmen went early to party and gamble first and when the bride found out about it she was very upset that her family wouldn't be there and refused to marry him. I don't think it necessarily is cruel, some men just literally don't 'get' fashion. I've been married for 25 years and I still don't think I would count on my husband to pick out a wedding dress for me. I think in some of these cases the man thinks 'oh, my bride is fun and quirky so she'll like something quirky' not realizing that this is the ONE thing in her life where she has been dreaming of something traditional. Like the guy who chopped the dress was thinking of something that she could wear as they said their vows on water skis, and he's probably seen pictures of deconstructed styles of clothing and thought 'attack it with scissors' would result in something similar, not something pulled out of a rag bin. (The top of that one was actually really lovely. Had he just had someone trim and hem it it would have been MUCH better.)

The one that the chick loved, with the revealing panels, the “catwalk” dress, if it was just the panel on the waist section, and the skirt was full of those pretty flouncy things without any legs visible and you decorated the panel on the waist with a sparkly belt, it would be quite nice. Obviously, he would have had to like the dress too, but he wouldn't have put his desires above mine in this matter. Actually, knowing that he was willing to spend more that 1500€ to buy me the Belle dress I've always dreamed of, I'm sure that had he been able to afford it back then, he would have bought the kind of dress I really wanted instead of letting me buy one I kinda settle for... That being said, when he loved me before we married, and he chose for me, he would have asked me for my opinion and I would have cut out magazine photos or written down the number of the sewing patterns that we chose to provide guidance. He chose a gorgeous German dirndl for me before we ever married when he lived overseas for two years. His parents however would NEVER have had a clue to choose anything for me to wear, even with money. I had a very curvy voluptuous figure and his Mom did not. The one time they picked out a blouse for me for a gift, it was so embarrassing....I had our baby nine months after we married, which increased my bosom, I about cried, now I can sort of laugh.
