Do Product Specialists or Product Consultants do data mapping ? Is that a functional or technical job ? Need some valuable suggestions.
@AngeloTheBA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Praneet. I am not a Product Specialist/Consultant so I am probably not the most qualified to answer that. However, based on the job descriptions, I would say it is unlikely that they do data modeling and it is not a technical role.

Very Informative! Thanks for the video! I’m planning to start my career as BA with no prior work experience. I watched this video after I watched your BA for introverts one! I just wanted to confirm if I’m choosing the right path! So, in my case can I apply for a jobs as a junior BA ? So that I have someone to guide , before I take the project all by myself? Would BA be a good preference for an introvert like me? By the way, I was a librarian before transitioning to BA now. Thanks @Angelo!

I also recently completed a udemy BA course, to get a complete Idea and got my certification. Hoping that this would help me secure a job without experience!

Only you can decide that right path for yourself. Personality type doesn't matter for success, what matters is a willingness to work on and overcome any shortcomings you have in order to succeed. It's the difference between "I'm not a good at Y so I can't do X" vs "I want to do X so I'm going to become good at Y"
@bhavyabhat1276 Жыл бұрын
@@AngeloTheBA Hmm, I get that! Hopefully I jot down all my confidence to start my career. I know, being introvert should not stop me from doing anything. Just trying to put my feelings in front of you, to start my job career. Thanks again for your advice!

Hi Angelo- I hope you are well. I discovered your videos a month ago & I’ve seen them all; a few about 3/4 times. Your style is just great, compared to the tens of videos I've seen. I’m glad to have seen this video first. I’m a QA transitioning to BA(IT focused)---I'm Felix from Manchester UK. Could you please make a new video about an IT BA’s task/duties End-to-End, using Agile Software Development methodology in as much detail as possible. Kindly make emphasis on Requirement Gathering/Elicitation & Techniques, BRD/FRD, Epics, User Stories, Process Mappings etc... I know it’s a lot to ask, as a video like this could take hours to put together, and would definitely be in at least 3 parts 🙏🏽 Keep shining your light.🤗💆🏾♂️✅

It sounds like what you are looking for is a comprehensive course on business analysis. I would recommend Udemy.com or Linkedin Learning because it would take a long while before I could do that. My channel is more for quick explanations and clarifications (people who don't want to spend hours). Plus the effort to put together a comprehensive course would make me want to put it on Udemy as a paid course myself honestly.

Just to get some clarity. Are you saying you would prefer 1. No visuals 2. My drawings are confusing to you and I should do better or 3. No more drawings do something else entirely?
@karthicktvm5 жыл бұрын
Angelo the BA I definitely prefer visuals and drawings, but this being a quick walk through I would prefer static images/visuals or completed drawing rather than in-motion drawing. Appreciate that you took my feedback positively and came back asking for clarity. Thanks. This is the first video I got to see from your channel. I have subscribed to learn from other videos too. Will keep you posted on my feedback. Cheers

Hi, as an agile ba what diagrams are necessary?? Techniques for remote role
@AngeloTheBA2 жыл бұрын
Diagrams or models aren't based on the methodology used, it's about what needs to be understood. Making changes to a process, then model the process. Making changes to data, then model the data. Etc. The goal is to ensure all stakeholders understand all the implications of a change and can make good decisions based on your analysis.

Do BA's typically work alone or with other BA's on a team? It just seems crazy for 1 analyst to do all of this on one project.
@AngeloTheBA3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the size/complexity of the project (or product). If a project is cross functional or cross application you're likely to have a BA representing each app or function. I talk about it a bit here kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqCWYWp7bpqUo8k

how to remember which task is associated which technique from BABOK perspective.
@AngeloTheBA5 жыл бұрын
That is like asking "how do I know which pot or pan to cook with". If the task is to fry, use a frying pan, if the task is to boil, use a pot, etc. If the point of the task is to collect data for a certain purpose, which technique would allow you to collect the data in a way to meet the purpose. You essentially need to understand why you would use each technique and likewise why you would complete any certain task. Alternatively, you could just memorize what is listed in the BABOK.

No, it is not a requirement. However, knowledge is power, so any skills you bring to the table create efficiency to the over all team.

Very nice video I have a question Can change request happens during UAT Or It has to happen before testing phase I mean in design phase only
@AngeloTheBA3 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, making changes during requirements and design is supposed to happen. I would consider that just updating requirements or design since nothing has been developed yet (not a formal change request). Additionally, the point of testing is to find things that will need to be changed, therefore it is expected to find things that need to change, so it should be low friction to make changes. I consider formal change request to be after the development cycle is complete. All that being said, it's your organization that determines how to define changes based on when they should happen.
