I don't understand the relationship between the title of the video and the course proposed. The most wanted job in the game industry? Ahahahah ye..sure.. so ironic, I would add "(Mid+)" to the title. For sure this is a great skill to have as a Tech Artist but studios don't care to hire a Tech Artist without or less than 1 year of experience. And for sure they don't care if you have this skill as a Junior.

Can you pls explain about what "skill" studios don't care?
@G4ggix2 ай бұрын
@@antongrotov6840 Proceduralism and HDA creation unless they explicitly want someone that do just that, but we're talking about a Mid+ position anyway.

Every AAA company wants such tech / fx artists. Why not?

@@nikokotto8240 Probably there is a misunderstanding here, obviously this is a nice skill to have, my point is that the title should be "The most wanted job in the gaming industry, if you have experience". Studios, for Junior positions, want knowledge in Shading, VFX, Props creation (so modeling and texturing) and overall optimization of the scene. These are the minimum requirements, the problem is that nowadays the market is horrible and studios want only people with experience, especially Technical Artists. The proceduralism and HDA/tool creation is a skill that studios don't care if you have or not if you're Junior and have no experience. Usually they look at it if it's exactly what they're looking for, but it's a rare case.

@@G4ggix Sad to hear. Do you have your own experience with hiring in that field or what? Junior always is the most "unwanted" positions in studios (in IT too). They want pros all the time,
