In TES6 we should see a lot of different vampire clans in High Rock and potentially even involve ourselves into the potentially feuding clans and their political dilemmas. One thing is for certain though, turning into a vampire should be far more cinematic. They need to bring back the dreams like in TES2 and 3. Also the chance of being turned was always low except for in Skyrim where it seemed like a 50/50 chance. It should be more rare and something secretively sought out.

As someone who's played Oblivion numerous times, I have experienced both becoming a vampire by choice, and being infected by accident. I was the righteous hero, accidentally killed a fellow mages guild member, got infected trying to get vampire dust. Didn't even know until it was too late. The Idea of a good vampire living a normal life in daylight hadn't crossed my mind until I was doing it. I saw it as a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't feed for days, then charge into an oblivion gate. This was before I downloaded any mods, years ago now. Couldn't feed on blood bottles, so sure, I would break into a person's house in town, and feed, but I figured the blood (or lack rather) was helping me close oblivion gates. Small price to pay. "Be not overcome with Evil, but overcome Evil with Good." and all that. Martin Septim said himself, "The Gods can transmute anything to Good." I got a intersting What if theory. What if defiling Lamae was Molag's greatest mistake. Lamae along with worshipping Arkay she had always wanted a child. So Arkay gave her a special blessing and whispered in her ear "when your chastity is broken, your child will soon be born" Molag Bal defiled the women and before leaving Molag for Oblivion he felt this spark of a presence in the room. It was growing and emanating from her stomach. Molag had fathered a offspring. He shed the droplet upon her brow as a sign of defeat and ripped the growing fetus from her womb and left to Oblivion. It ended in a draw between Arkay and Molag.

Your best bet would probably be soul trapping yourself in a Black soul gem, although you'd end up in the Soul Cairn. Not sure that's a preferable fate. Then again, you could always find and keep a cure on hand for when you finally want an exit. Although of immortality is your need, there are less soul damning ways to extend your life indefinitely through magical means within the Elder Scrolls universe.

@@lazilycatharticone4191 manimarco's route was probably the most successful. Considering he became a god. Of course before that he was a lich. But he was successfully immortal with a less damning concept for afterlife. Only thing that was damning about his situation was the choices he made to create pacts with the Daedra.

Be wary talking of the vampyr of Tamriel! Ye may awaken the eldest, capitalist bloodsucker, Todd of the Bethesda clan; opening, yet again, the realm of Skyrim to even more exploitation. The cacophony of the muppet minions, and other cackling content ghouls, fuels the Bethesda clan’s yearning to siphon ever more capital from the unwary and undiscerning Skinner-box sycophants of the Elder Scrolls. If you listen closely, at the witching hour, you can hear the rasping, whispering echo of, “It works! Buy! Buy it again!”

I guess vampirism in E.S. makes sense now. Vaermina's temple quest for the reason of not having interest in that daedric staff I have never selected taking the staff as an option, even if I'm role playing a fantasy I don't want to be reminded of shyte dreams or nightmares let alone plague others with them in fantasy simulation...usually I offer the traitor from that quest as an offering for the daedric ebony armor quest considering I killed his sect family and tough orcs, plus I don't feel as bad for doing so as appose to someone whom has done me or others no wrong, Erandur paid for the consequences of being a turncoat and lack of honoring "blood in, blood out", I wad just the debt collector, I wouldn't that kind of person watching my back.

Wrong since Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines exists.
@smithingbear75223 жыл бұрын
@@demistr7435 VTM is a decent game with lore that's best when glossed over. Bloodlines was fun but it shares the same lore issues the rest of the world of darkness shares. The actual vampires of the game are just boring and not very powerful. I understand the purpose of the game is personal horror, body horror, and political horror but when your vampire is barely able to do the standard things like turn into mist without having a Story Teller that's willing to accept your "OP" character then it seems almost underwhelming. It works for what it does but it doesn't do the things that come standard with vampires in things like Elder Scrolls
I think you could have cut the first 6 minutes from the video. The tale of morvarth doesn't really have anything to do with the origin of vampires or their reason for existence. I also think you're generalizing vampires a bit too much. Serana and the dragonborn seem like good enough people. there were a couple of vamps in oblivion that weren't entirely evil. Even the community of vampires in morrowind seemed like mostly good people who were just cursed. I'm sure there are more out there. Keeping to themselves and only feeding enough to survive or keep themselves disguised. In fact they may even make up the majority, but they go so far to keep their secrets that the bad ones are the most well known. From what i can tell, vamps are the exact same people after turning they were before turning. However, most people struggle to keep their darker impulses under control for fear of being killed or exiled, and vampires simply lose that fear. They feel empowered to do all the things they always wanted to do but were too afraid to try. Essentially, vampires in the elder scrolls are more like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the original book than anything else. Not actually two different people, just one person with the freedom to be bad with little to no consequences.
@monsieurdorgat68643 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think Drew is stretching this whole thing to make the Vaermina connection, and hoping to make Vaermina more popular and force Bethesda to flesh her out. But the reason not all vampires are equally as cruel is because their cruelty is a natural psychological consequence of how they're made. Abusive personalities instill fear and insecurity in their victims, which often inspires those victims to be abusive as well and continue the cycle. It's a perfect physical manifestation of what Molag Bal is! But since it's a psychological consequence, it's not a hard rule either - some vampires may process their transformation into monsters differently, and not necessarily exhibit those personality traits.
@clericofchaos13 жыл бұрын
@@monsieurdorgat6864 Yeah i mean, i wouldn't mind seeing her fleshed out a little more but trying to connect her back to vampires just doesn't fit. I'm still going with bad vamps were bad people though, that makes more sense to me.
@monsieurdorgat68643 жыл бұрын
@@clericofchaos1 I guess that's a pretty typical religious perspective. I think it fleshes out things more when you start questioning WHY people do bad stuff. "Bad people do bad stuff" is kind of the easy but not very useful line of logic. The horror of Molag Bal is that the answers to why people do horrible things are very close to home, and can happen to anybody. Think about it - you've been attacked, brutalized, and turned into a monster against your will. Yet, society at large hates you - a genuine victim. Making things worse, the only way to even appear human on the outside to attempt normalcy is to give in to your hunger and become more of a monster on the inside. It's pretty natural most people would give up on the humanity that has already abandoned them, and quickly turn into a sadistic psychopath.
@clericofchaos13 жыл бұрын
@@monsieurdorgat6864 Ugh victim mentality is such a useless and pathetic way to look at things. Sometimes, bad things happen to good people, and there's nothing you can do to change that. So, why worry about it? Look evil is real and there are people out there who do bad things for no other reason than they enjoy being evil. Most serial killers fall into that line. Trying to find any deeper meaning is a waste of time.
@monsieurdorgat68643 жыл бұрын
@@clericofchaos1 Honestly, only billionaires enjoy being evil. Unless your evil makes you rich, there's nothing to enjoy. The majority of people as mentally ill as you're thinking about (cartoon villains, honestly) are the way they are due to living a long, broken life. Turns out, compassion is actually a solution to real life problems, in the long run. I mean, violence is fun in video games and movies but it doesn't sound like you're talking about fiction anymore. Or maybe you have fiction and reality confused, and one authors lazy writing is your moral compass now lol
