The Mounting of the Guard in Holyrood Palace , the Queen is on her way to Edinburgh

Early morning on 27 June 2022, the Queen is on her train to Scotland. A special mounting and changing of the guard ceremony takes place in Edinburgh Holyrood Palace. With the Queen in residence at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh the ceremony will take place each day she is here.

@@AirplaneDoctor_ Seems you’ve been in service, so you’ll know better than I do. Strangely the Buckingham Palace website refers to “Guard Mount” but the Palace aren’t soldiers. I think you’ll be right.

@@Scipionic1941 As a soldier participating you are mounting the guard, as someone watching it's a guard mounting, both terms are correct depending on who is using them and the context.
