Dan is player of the year and nobody is talking about it! - Beat Ethan Erwin to become first (and only) three time singles champ - Defended belt against Bibbiani, who was another contender before tonight - Won Free For All - Won Team Championship - Defended Team Championship, and is current team champion (Beating undefeated Shazam, no less). Just because we expect greatness from him doesn't mean we should take it for granted.

He TKOd Bibbs (who was a huge contender for player of the year) in two different title matches. That is insane.
@brianrebele62825 жыл бұрын
While I agree about Dan, and you bring up many good points to play devils advocate Mike Kalinowski Team champ Innergeekdom Champ almost faced Paul Oyama for the singels belt as well. Lastly correct me if I am wrong he also beat Ben Bateman and the current Tag Champs twice and beat Smets as well.
@nuntiuso73475 жыл бұрын
Brian Rebele Killer only beat Founding Fathers once this year though. He did have a strong two thirds of a year, but went out with a whimper, with Rocha ending both his singles and teams run, and getting KO’ed by Smets. If he had defended against Smets, he’d be a stronger contender for player of the year, but not the case anymore.
@sivad10255 жыл бұрын
@@brianrebele6282 He beat all 3 champs... that's a fascinating point. I don't think it holds water though since Mike played above average when he beat those people. And they all played below average. Founding Fathers, Bateman and Smets all have only 1 loss this year (all to Kalinowski). Mike has many losses and lower stats for the year.
@brianrebele62825 жыл бұрын
@@nuntiuso7347 My point about Mike is this he had the strongest year by playing in all three of the major divisions the last time was Rachel the Crusher Cushing. Final image of the Spectacular is the Champion Horsemen/ Finstock Exchange and of course the Dungeon with Champ Kevin Smets. Mike beat all of them this year while he may not win he should at the very least finish as the runner up.
@animositis66325 жыл бұрын
I have to give props to Oyama. He could've run after that - like Kalinowski - but he stayed and he owned it. I gained a lot of respect for him there. Kayfabe aside, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

@reelkonversationswithryank49454 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Samm and Dan have singles and team belts with defenses on each. Rocha has singles and teams (first with Top Ten and again with FF with 1 defense). Cushing has IG and teams (2 defenses?). Kalinowski has IG and teams also. I think those 5 make up my Mount Ru-Schmoe, do we really need to rank them? Do you rank the presidents on Mount Rushmore? Reilley has only won Singles (granted it was twice), Sneider has only won teams (multiple defenses with Patriots and again with Odd Couple). But I do think that all 7 of them are first ballot Hall of Famers. Could Oyama win teams with Lon to join Dan, Samm and John? Could Smets join a team and equal what Rachel and Mike accomplished? It's going to be a great season to find out!
@Madferit914 жыл бұрын
@@reelkonversationswithryank4945 I think the order is easy as well. It has to be 1- Dan, 2- Rocha, 3- Cushing, 4- Samm. And the 5th spot is probably for Kalinowski yeah. I think (without a particular order) I can name you the top 9 best players of all time: Dan, Rocha, Cushing, Samm, Kalinowski, Reilly, Sneider, Bibbiani and Clarke. I do have problems coming up with that 10th spot. There's a few candidates. Bateman, Harloff, Erwin, JTE, McWeeny and Inman. I'm leaning towards either Bateman or Harloff. Probably Bateman.

At the Schmoedown Awards , the Horsemen should be getting the lot: Manager of the year : Finstock Singles Player : Dan Murrell Overall Player : Dan Murrell Team of the Year : Founding Fathers , although Rocha should get the Slice since it was his passion that kept them going forward ( The only team to win the belt this year and Defend it) Entrance of the Year : Rocha Flu entrance For the teams here Moment of the Year : Batemen smacks Ghai with the Chair. I think that just about sums it up.

I think he said undisputed. If not, that's what he meant. It was just a slip of the tongue. EDIT: Okay, I just re-listened to it, he definitely said undefeated but it was immediately before champion ("undefeated champion", so it's an adjective describing his championship, not the competitor himself. He didn't win, lose, and then re-win the championship, he had an undefeated championship, at that point it was 1 Title win and 2 Title defenses, 3 defenses by the end of the match. I'm sure that's what he meant.

It's almost like he set himself up to lose on purpose, what with two matches in a row where he antagonizes the audience. His whole kayfaybe (sp?) just feels like he's lost his mojo. It's supposed to be an act, but why not set your own plot up for victory? I've been a very faithful kalinowski fan, but he's frankly losing me with the loser act. When he's genuine he's a great player and sportsman. You could say it's just the heel thing, but I don't know any other heels that antagonize their own fans like that. Edit: yeah I figured some of it had to do with the faction folding. It was never an organic faction but a plot contrivance. It's why I've never been fully on board with Korruption, even if DC movie news was holding him back.

*****SPOILERS***** Bibbs Vs Bateman - I hate how when Bibbs is asking legitimate questions for the challenge Bateman makes he's basically told to hush it. Damon Vs Kelly - Perfect game from Damon, including the bonus point and full 3 points bet. The betting round and speed round took it away from Kelly. Founding Fathers Vs Shazam! - Betting round strikes again. Bibbs probably had Meryl Streep in his head from that Mary Poppins question against Bateman, probably should've asked for a repeat. Don't think Dan's got anywhere near the Inner Geekdom knowledge of Cushing, Kalinowski or Smet's. Also the Rocha arrival was obvious, imagine people buying tickets and traveling miles for one of the main matches not happening. I can't handle Bibbs crying. Kalinowski Vs Smet's - Really shat the bed there after all that trash talk. To be fair, against a perfect game, couldn't do much better myself. Might be a while before KO comes back from that. That beats per minute pull tho. Harloff's hands on his head while Chance is on the mic. LOL Oyama Vs Bateman - Was really rooting for Primetime to beat The Patriots record. Kid shouldn't beat himself up, he's still a rookie. Come back stronger. Jandreau (Mouthy Mercs) - Names alright. Only works if he drafts people who are actually good on the mic. Marshall (SWAG Squad) - A no on the name for me. He's still entertaining as hell. Washington (Villains and Heroes) - It's a name. I guess. Dagnino (The Finstock Exchange) - He could be called The Schlong Munchers and they'd still destroy. Awesome name anyway. Striar (The Roxstars) - Awesome name but "All these managers are all me, me, me, I, I, I. I'm all about my players, anyway my factions named after me." OK. Kaiser (The Dungeon) - If it ain't broke. Love the relationship between him and Zippy Dee Doo Daa. Levine (The Usual Suspects) - Probably shouldn't have revealed he was there during the beginning interviews Janisch. Can't wait to see what he does. Barney (KOrupption) - First time hearing her talk so I dunno. Don't think Crimson Fury will go far. KO needs to change his name. Fyffe/Hancock (Fyffe Club) - Really looking forward to what happens if they face off against Ken. Expecting a good cop bad cop kind of thing. RMB - #ReleaseTheBurnettCut Ghai - YYYHHHHHHH BOOOOOIIIIIII!!! Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk. *****SPOILERS*****

An ad agency develops marketing campaigns (print, tv, etc.) and sometimes negotiates endorsement deals with athletes or other celebrities for their clients, the distributors of the product. Ad agents work FOR the product (company), sometimes WITH athletes. This is pretty much what Ben said. A sports agency signs athletes and work to negotiate their contracts with teams, and sometimes for product endorsements. A sports agent works FOR the athlete, sometimes WITH product campaigns. In "What Men Want," she is clearly a sports agent, not an ad agent or "she works at an ad agency..." Just imho. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Men_Want#Plot - "Ali Davis is a successful sports agent in Atlanta who feels boxed out by her male colleagues."
