This song exhibits so much symbolism. You have the “mad pianos” chaotic notes that you hear very loudly at first, but as the piece goes on, they fade, and even though you can still hear them slightly in the background, you are overwhelmed with this beautiful orchestrated harmony that calms you. Its basically saying that no matter how much you worry or stress over something, you will be okay in the end and there is always a way to fix what has been broken. Calm down and don’t worry, it will all be just fine 😔

Mr Bean is probably one of the best examples of an autistic person in film that I have ever seen. And yeah, I know that he probably wasn't intended to be so, but that combination of ''outwardly rejecting social norms and can barely string a sentence together'' and ''inwardly being a kindhearted genius with mad skills'' is the description that I would give to so many autistic people that I have met in my life.

Mr. Bean: Hello, I'm Dr. Bean. Apparently. And my job is to sit and look at paintings. So, what have I learned that I can say about this painting? Well, firstly, it's really quite big, which is excellent. Because If it were really small, you know, microscopic, then hardly anyone would be able to see it. Which would be a tremendous shame. Secondly, and I'm getting quite near the end of this... analysis... of this painting, secondly, why was it worth this man here spending fifty million of your American dollars on this portrait? And the answer to that is, well this painting is worth such a lot of money because... it's a picture of Whistler's mother. And as I've learned by staying with my best friend David Langley and his family, families are very important and even though Mr. Whistler was perfectly aware that his mother was a hideous old bat who looked like she'd had a cactus lodged up her backside, he stuck with her, and even took the time to paint this amazing picture of her. It's not just a painting. It's a picture of a mad old cow who he thought the world of. And that's marvelous Well that's what I think.

While this film is comedy-based, it has deeper meaning surrounding Mr. Bean, he may act silly and act out of the standards of society, but he is also a reflection of what is and means to be human. In the film he messes up, and, when his true nature is discovered, it motivates him to improve to the best version of himself, and this is reflected in the music. Its not just a comedy, its a film reflecting all of us as humans.

I remember seeing an interview where Rowan Aktinson explained, that in his eyes, bean isn't stupid or mentally challenged, but simply has a child-like approach to the world. In that context, it becomes easy to see how a lot of his actions are simply what a child would chose to do in the same situation. Bean isn't stupid or mentally damaged, but an adult who never gave up on his childhood. That in turn explains why particularly children absolutely adore watching mr. Bean, because they can see themselves in him.

I love Mr. Bean. Everything about him and the shows/movies. To me, the character embodies so much of life. He is clumsy, awkward and naive. Almost like an adult who is still a child of mind. I feel like that is a perfect mix for what we should all strive for. His actions and manners come off sometimes as rude and insensitive. But it’s not usually all his fault, it’s the other people and his intentions are insanely pure. He wants to do right, he wants to do good. But people (specifically rude and inconsiderate people) thwart his intentions and ruin the day. To Howard Goodall, who played the incredible theme for Mr. Bean in his films, you understood the assignment and beautifully captured the essence of Mr. Bean and life in general in your music. Start off with determined intention and focus. 3 intense horn sections (with triangle hits in the ends which I feel are ADHD thoughts or distractions before refocusing for the next intention). Then beautifully transitioning to the “Mad Pianos” section the song is named for. Seemingly random chords and notes at a frenetic pace on the piano continuously sounding through the whole song. This to me represents the exterior world, life. Constant distraction, misinformation, family demands, tasks to be completed, demands for attention, ridiculous social constructs, ads, ambient noise…etc. This is what I think the mad pianos represent in the mind of Mr. Bean. And I completely relate. What an insane world of “mad pianos” sounding off constantly that we live in. But there’s hope. Very soon, the orchestral medley starts to build. Soothing, inspiring, structured and beautiful. The melody swells ever more loudly and intensely. Until finally, the inspiring and structured orchestral melody overtakes the mad pianos and drowns them out, which are still continually present in the background. WOW!! What an insanely beautiful musical description of what I imagine is Mr. Bean’s mental state (which I’m sure many can relate to). Constant noise and he’s trying to focus on the melody, but he slips. We can all relate I’m sure of that. Focus on the melody! Such an inspiring musical translation of what we all face today. Constant noise. Insane demands. Incredible amounts of misinformation. Distractions. So many challenges and demands for our attention…Find the melody. Find the inspiration that drowns out the mad pianos in your life. I have heard this song at least 3,000 times in my life and I STILL get goosebumps every time from what I feel when I listen to it. Just like Mr. Bean, you will make mistakes among the noise. But seek the melody and truth always. And in the end, the mad pianos stand no chance of being heard.

You can say whatever you want about mr.Bean and this movie, but you can only admit that it has one of the best movie soundtracks ever made. It honestly gets me everytime ... Reminds me of my childhood when i would replay this movie 3times in a row non stop and think its the funniest film ever made but it also reminds me of the pain the final scene causes me to feel everytime i think about it... and how lonely mr.Bean really was..

This is about as iconic as the Star Wars main theme. As soon as you hear the first few seconds you immediately picture Mr. Bean arriving in his green mini like a mad man, swerving back and forth down the road. Rowan Atkinson is a brilliant man and a genius. There will never be a better Mr. Bean. God bless his soul.
