Yes they own it IT just says that 5% for steam and 10% for Valve because if we look at other games Valve always Tales 5% and the developer 10% i assume they just didnt want to merge those and write 15% Valve because them some people wouldnt understand that if they make their own game and market they will get 10% Edited: 5 seconds behind hrdscp

Big thing with the steam market compared to valorant or other games with similar shops is valve drops cases for free then collect the initial $2.50 people pay to open those cases, the item received will be sold multiple times on the market with them collecting their 5% each time so although they might not get a large amount initially they will continually receive income from that item as its passed around. Basically have ensured they will always be receiving money from items even when they havent been dropped for years

I stopped spending so much on CSGO when I figured out how to check the amount I’ve spent on steam. I was flabbergasted!!! Thankfully I have cashed out several times and I’d say I’ve gotten back 50-70% of what I put in. Still though. It all adds up.
