Get a Bella! They bloom all the time. Or a Krohniana. Not even the splashy or variegated ones. The plain green Bella or Krohniana. Also Burtoniae tends to bloom really easily.
@Wubblyt3 ай бұрын
Hoya Fitchii, Hoya Caudata Sumatra, Hoya Rebecca and Hoya Icencis were Hoyas that also bloomed easily for me within their first year of growth since they were a cutting. Just in the windowsill, no fuss. (Hoya Patella pink and Hoya Cutis Porcelana are also very easy bloomers, but those were in my tent)

Heck yes! Best bloomer that I have for year-round buds. Each peduncle goes again and again, once mature. After arrival first cycles blasted as expected. No smell on mine either and also from California. Another good point is upright growth habit. I've got mine in a hanging basket, but next spring it is going into terra cotta and down onto the floor (no pets). Love the one hoya at a time video...but wow 400 plants! Must be a challenge with your cold temps too. Great video, cool as a cucumber! Have a great weekend, and do an unboxing for your new cool plants!

Midas touch for plants! 😂 Love it! I'm not sure about that, but my grandma does say I have the luck with Hoya. I think her and I are about neck and neck with our Hoya collection now, but I have bloomed quite a few more than she has. She finally got her first blooms a month or two ago and she has been collecting much longer than I have. I think it really ticked her off when she gave me my first Hoya (just an Heirloom Carnosa) which was a cutting off her plant and I got mine to bloom. Her's still hasn't. Like you said at the beginning of your video, it took about 5yrs for it to bloom for me though. She's also tried seeds and no luck there. My multiflora sometimes gets yellow spots on the leaves. It’s definitely not the roots. It’s possibly too much light. It’s not diseased. She is healthy and growing well and constantly flowers for me. I can’t figure out what is causing the yellowing. My lockii does it too. I think n it’s related to too warm a room. Has this happened to anyone else?

This could not be timelier for me. I got a baby Multiflora six weeks ago. It is not doing well. It has four new leaves (six total) and just dropped its first peduncle. It is under T8 lights, two of them, three feet long, about ten inches apart on a 20 in. deep shelf and 18 inches above the plant. I'm thinking; repot in chunky mix and less light. What do you think? 400 plants, holy puppies! It would be great to see you unbox Hope you are well. Blessings.

I would agree that it's getting too much light. I have mine back from an east window, and quite far beneath a soltech pendant light. I think it's only getting something like 80 PPFD there. Quite low light, for a Hoya.

Interesting, I like the plant spotlight! And I recently ordered online a variegated multiflora. I was disappointed to unbox one that's really dull with pathetic variegation. I'm hoping it will become more vibrant, bc I really like the plant. So, I've been thinking of horticultural oil, which is pricey, to give a bit of shine, but saw online that all it is is mineral oil. Would you recommend mineral oil mixed with water?
