We didn't see a lot of Rappa in the trailer because a lot of it was actuallu from her POV. It was like us as the players became Rappa for this trailer, which I think is a pretty clever way to go about it, especially since the livestream mentioned that Rappa has a completely different view of the universe from most people.

I feel like HSR actually does filler patches really well. Back when Huohuo and Argenti had their patch together, it was the Halloween one where Guinaifen was streaming in the spooky area of the Luofu, and we met Xueyi and Hanya. That one was way better than anyone expected, and it felt like a filler patch. So I'm staying optimistic, especially with Rappa's trailer being this good and HSR's socials changing their icons to a Monkey and then a Chibi Rappa, they're clearly having fun with it.

@ALegendarySol going into it last year, it probably felt like a filler patch unless you were the biggest Huohuo or Argenti fans. Especially with a lot of people excited for the Dr. with the meme name coming up in the patch that followed (and that's before we knew we were getting Ratio for free). Having played it though, it wasn't really a filler patch but a lot of assumptions get made in the Hoyoverse fandom before new updates (and by extension characters) become available.
